Washington (AFP) - A suspected shooter reportedly spoke of "no more baby parts" after his arrest following a five-hour siege of a family planning clinic in Colorado Springs that left three people dead, including a police officer.
Details began to emerge Saturday about what may have driven the suspect, Robert Lewis Dear, 57, to enter the Planned Parenthood clinic with a high-powered rifle on Friday and fire on police and civilians outside the building.
The clinic performs abortions -- a highly emotive and divisive issue in America.
NBC News, citing two law enforcement officials, said that when questioned after his arrest Dear mentioned "no more baby parts" in reference to Planned Parenthood.

Yeah. How come nobody is questioning CO’s liberal marijuana laws as a factor? The story is being framed by liberals.
He started shooting at people in cars then ran in PP. Decidedly strange lack of information from official sources. He is seriously disturbed with a long history of issues with family and neighbors but functional enough to move from state to state and buy property. Schizophrenics are disorganized and not capable of planning, so the question for me is, was he receiving treatment, on medication at times, or just slipping through the cracks?
So this guy just blurts out “no more baby parts” and that’s it? The baby parts story has been out for awhile now. This guy lived in a cabin with no running water or electricity but stayed up to date on PP stories?
And his story sure knocked Chicago off the news just in time.
Every day I trust the government and media less and less.
Most people who smoke marijuana don’t go out and shoot people. And if he was a loner, how did these people know he smoked pot?
I read they would be released Monday after the autopsies. I have no idea why. Also, as far as I know, they have not released the names of people injured. The whole thing stinks.
That, or because he is a bit "off" he was just screwing with the system and checked female.
Who shot up a clinic?
This whole thing stinks to high heaven. Based on the few sources I actually trust this was a mentally ill bank robber who ducked into a Planned Parenthood clinic trying to escape.
The Progressive Media Propagandists are all quick to tell us that it was actually a Right-Wing Christian Extremist who had been inflamed by the “highly edited” videos released by Center For Medical Progress, proving that we need more gun control. This narrative will continue to be far more important than any truth about what actually happened.
Meanwhile the Paris attacks had nothing to do with Islam.
As I understand, the fallen officer was from a campus police force. Assuming the other first responders were not regular duty officers my hunch is friendly fire is heavily in play.
So, what was it? Was it a robbery gone wrong, with a perp retreating into PP afterward, or was PP the target? Can’t believe the media if it won’t further their lefty agenda!
And if PP was the target, wouldn’t it be smarter to ambush the baby killers one at a time on their way to/from work or at home later?
That struck me too. No toilet, but internet access? How did he support himself? Was he receiving SSDI?
If Dear was so bat**** crazy that he was receiving SSDI, why did the right hand of the Federal gov't know what the left hand of the Federal gov't was doing, and not disqualify him from a firearm purchase?
Why is it I believe that this story will be around for awhile but the on air killing of the reporter and the knife attack on the school campus have been dropped down the memory hole?
When I first heard he shouted “no more baby parts” my first thought was show me the proof he said that.
From the little that was reported, this all started or escalated in the parking lot and the first responders saw him outside of the building.
The fact none of the people inside planned parenthood were injured after five hours sort of puts the lie that they were in fact the target.
As others pointed out it is most likely we have a man high on drugs that finally went over the edge but I will withhold final judgement until more evidence is presented.
I further believe that the authorities know all this and like Benghazi are with holding facts so that they do not let a good crisis go to waste.
Bet we will never know.
Just a guess: a not-fully-fit SWAT cop running from concealment point A to concealment point B slips, cracking an elbow or knee on the concrete. The kind of bumps and bruises you get in a pickup game on the weekend. Very common among LEOs in that kind of situation.
I wonder if the guy was trying to rob the bank to get money for a sex change.
Might explain the no more baby parts.
Perhaps the eyewitness who said Dear followed a crawling person into PP and sprayed the entrance with gunfire could mean that other person may possibly have had something that argues for an autopsy. In this case, the fact that "no more body parts" is allegedly what Dear said to investigators lends credence to the PP argument.
...should be very high on the target list when the SHTF, just behind the officials WHO GIVE THE ORDERS.
