Newborn girl buried alive in California riverbed, rescued after passersby report muffled cries
Los Angeles County deputies found a baby girl buried alive near a riverbed in Compton.
The newborn, believed to be between 36 and 48 hours old, is in stable condition.

No excuse for burying a baby alive...all the excuses, coddling, “oh poor thing” hand wringing is why this terror keeps happening over and over. Sure she’ll use the PPD excuse. Why not? It seems to always work. Built in excuse to kill....

Like I said (above) if the (presumably) mother who committed this murderous, evil act was mentally incapacitated, she might justly get secure psychiatric confinement (imprisonment) for life. One cannot conclude, though, as some FReeper apparently do, that she is, or should be, damned.
She should not "walk." Nothing is an excuse to kill a baby.

It is most likely to have been the mother who did this, but perhaps someone harmed her and then buried the baby.
