Donald Trump, leading Republican candidate for president, took his spat with the New York Times to the next level, doubling down on his denial of mocking a handicapped reporter and then demanding the newspaper apologize for accusing him of doing so.
In tweets sent out Thanksgiving Day, Trump said once again he didn't poke fun of Serge Kovaleski, a New York Times journalist who suffers from arthrogryposis, a congenital condition that restricts the movements of his arms.
His campaign first opened with this clarification: "Donald J. Trump today demanded an apology fro the failing New York Times which accused him (during a major speech before 10,000 people in Myrtle Beach, SC) of mocking a reporter's physical disability when in fact, Mr. Trump does not know anything about the reporter or anything about what the reporter looks like. He was merely mocking the fact that the reporter was trying to pull away from a story that he wrote 14 years ago."

It was all the fault of Nixon, then Reaganbush (one word), then Bush I and Bush II, even with dem leaders declaring this and that.
Frankly, it is refreshing to hear someone giving it back.
No way this nation turns without giving it back to the progressive aholes.
Of course Trump knew his disability - there is no reporter in New York City he doesn't know about. I just saw a film of the reporter put on this thread by a Freeper and the reporter has a spastic disfigured arm and hand that is permanently affixed in front of his chest and it is spastic continually.
Trump has a habit of castigating people with disgusting words or actions and then saying he didn't do it. One example was saying Carson hit his mother over the head with a hammer when Carson didn't hit her. Trump takes a smidgen of truth and exaggerates it into non-truth, then says he didn't do it.
Trump seems like the only conservative poli who has a set of stones
I agree with you. Trump has always had a running tacky confrontation with celebrities and anyone else who disagrees with him. I certainly didn't keep up with him (didn't care diddly about him), but one couldn't miss the silly spats he had with celebrities over the years as it was part of daily news when it would happen.
I never saw his reality show because I thought he was ridiculous before he ever started that show.
The solution to what ails you is not another candidate for the GOP nomination, but a hillary win. Then there will be peace between the media and government. And we can all live as One.
Kumba-effin-ya.
Go dishonest msm go!
That may be true, but I know that I'm totally fed up of the eight year love fest between the media and the traitor in chief - it's nauseating to see and listen to.
Well, after multiple IRS, OSHA, EPA, DOL audits, maybe the presstitutes will tone down their rhetoric
Trump has performed this spaztic move when mocking his detractors in previous speeches. He didn’t just do it for this nyt reporter. He did it many times before.
I just smh how some freepers are defending an anti-conservative nyt reporter.
It’s just so — wait for it — GOPe.
Exactly the same position Biden was in during his “Stand up, Chuck!” moment. MSM didn’t mention it as far as can recall. Just the conservative talking heads.
‘’I gotta admit I donât think I could take 8 years of this crap with Trump and the media and the back and forth - it is exhausting to listen too (sic).’’
Which is better? Eight years of media bashing of Trump, or eight years of Hillary and the accompanying socialist government? Any conservative in office will be the target of unmentionable abuse by the left. Why not get an effective man (Trump) if bashing is going to occur anyhow?
My bet is after a holiday weekend of hemming & hawing, the New York Times will tweet out a cryptic ‘fauxpology to Donald. They will effectively apologize for allowing their grand statements to become ‘so widely misinterpreted by unnamed sources’.
Look as he mocks Rubio in this video at 16:40, almost identical as with the NYT reporter.
you are correct.......
yes, that is a point to consider......
That isn’t going to happen with any Republican president.
Except, of course, the punching back part.
For that (no punch back)we are going to have to elect another Bush, the Bush’s have a 12 year track record of not fighting back at best of times.
As GWB proved over and over again, the Bushes usually bend over and take it up the a*s without making a sound.
Even when our troops, the guys who volunteerd to sacrifice their very lives for America, came under attack from the Left.
It’s hard to imagine, but the lives of hundreds of our finest weren’t even worthy of the slightest pushback by the very man who sent them to die.
Staggering reality.
That won’t happen under Trump.
I’m not going to put words in your month, but what you have posted thus far on this thread leads me to believe that you are OK with the way Bush abandoned not only the dignity of The Office of the Presidency, but also his abandonment of those who sacrificed everything in service of our country.
The NY Times will not apologize ............................... They might, look in the classified, it will probably appear somewhere in the used microwave for sale listings.
Thanks.
That’s worth posting on every thread about this issue.
Great find, good research.
Susana does not have any future political aspirations as she has said many times. She is not of the same mold as Sarah Palin, though they are friends. Though she is against illegal immigration, she is also not supportive of all Trump’s immigration solutions. As far as success in NM goes, she has fought from day one to repeal driver’s licenses for illegals* but has been stymied by Democrats in the legislature. Otherwise she’s had a couple of good revenue years up to now with increasing oil and gas revenues (1/3 of the state budget), but it will be rough now that crude prices are in the tank. One other thing she has done is bring some integrity to the Governor’s office after the corruption of Bill Richardson (the Rats are now trying to say her chief of staff has done some financial wrongs, but this will be a non-starter).
* The driver’s license issue is coming to a head as of mid-January New Mexicans will need another government-issued photo ID (usually a passport) to enter federal facilities and later in 2016, they will need same to fly on commercial airlines.
