Hillary Clinton is upping her anti-Wall Street rhetoric, amid reports that the Clinton Foundation is running a private-equity company down in Colombia.The same private-equity field dissed by 2008 Obama in hundreds of millions of dollars of negative ads against Mitt Romney b/c Romney earned his fortune w/ a PEF.

The Bogota-based Fondo Acceso, started in 2010 by Bill Clinton, Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim and mining millionaire Frank Giustra....$20 million seed funding supposedly came from the Clinton Foundations Clinton-Giustra Sustainable Growth Initiative and Carlos Slims the SLIM Foundation, the Washington Free Beacon reports. In an ominous sign, Fondo Acceso took down its Web site once the Beacon broke the story. Plus the venture wasnt registered as a private equity fund in Colombia, thereby skirting government oversight. A good move for an investment firm linked to the US secretary of state.

The National Legal and Policy Center, notes, At the minimum, the Clinton Foundation should disclose every company that received investment funds, because the public is entitled to know whether those companies benefited from any State Department foreign-aid programs. Not to mention the ethical murk of having two charities co-own an investment fund in a developing nation. Especially when one of those charities is the family nonprofit of a presidential candidate who has raised tens of millions from the financial sector shes promising to reform.

Funny...IIRC, the first post I ever read on FR was back in the late 1990’s and had something to do with Clinton doings in Colombia and a couple of kids who died mysteriously on some train tracks in Mena.

The Clinton looting and pillaging the US govt has actually worked for the last 40 years. Now theyve been caught red-handed, running a financial scam in dirt-poor Columbia, with a company they created out of thin air.

This is NOT a charity, but rather a financial institution---Fondo Accesso is a money scheme at best....but it is money-laundering, tax evasion scam at its worst. (more in a later post on this angle)

The Clintons operation in Columbia calims to be seeded w/ over $20 Million, and was registered in corrupt Colombia as a 'simplified stock corporation,' which Colombian legal experts said prevents it from doing business as a private-equity fund.

The Columbian scheme was formed in 2010 by ex-pres Bill, Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim, and Canadian mining bigwig Frank Giustra (Giustra orchestrated the sale of US uranium assets to Russia).

There are plenty of shady dealings between the Clinton Foundation and its foreign donors that relied on Hillary Clinton for favors. How shady? The Charity Navigator, a nonpartisan organization that provides information on charities, placed the Clinton Foundation on its Watchlist, due to its "atypical business model."

Is the Clinton Foundation a fraud? They acknowledge over $2 BILLION dollars income......but IMHO that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Maybe that's why the Clintons have such a hard time remembering to accurately file their TAXES, because they have a lot to hide.

REALITY CHECK Then-Secy Hillary supposedly gave Haiti $3.1 billion tax dollars for Earthquake Relief.

But Haitian-American protesters claim that American aid to Haiti was a cover-for foreign governments to funnel kickbacks of hundreds of millions of dollars to The Clinton Foundation.

For example, gold mining expert Giustra "gave" the Foundation $100 million....after Bill helped him make billions off uranium deals. Hillary's brother mysteriously got a rare gold mining license in Haiti (now on hold due to controversy).

Liz, This isn't the original thread, but it's the sort of reprise of the subject that pops up once in a while, with lots of links to the greatest hits on the subject. There's even a reference to a book by Ambrose Evans-Pritchard, which I never even knew about.

Gawd...just this from the Wall Street Journal, is hair-raising.

Holy smokes...a major drug smuggling operation out of Arkansas (of all places)? Rats only gather where they're not exterminated. CIA involvement? These stories would make any conspiracy theory seem mundane.

I'm sure the truth is far more disturbing than the multiplicity of fragments of information suggest and what's more disconcerting is that, as sleazy and wicked as the Clintons are, Team Obama is probably a good deal worse. Certainly a good deal more ambitious and..."audacious", if you will.
