The rumours, as yet unconfirmed but which began with the state-run Cuban news agency Prensa Latina, have triggered an outpouring of conspiracy theories, with speculation rife about what President Bush's supposed interest in the "chaco", a semi-arid lowland in the Paraguay's north, might be.

Hummmmm a rumor spread by a Cuban state-run news agency and from 2006 no less? Tell us has the "Rumor" been confirmed? Did Bush do this with money bilked from US tax payers or illegal contributions from foreign governments?

Don’t Taze me bro! You may not like the source you found (there are numerous others including British media that I linked to) but the truth is that Jenna Bush did the deal for Daddy after meeting with the leader there... Land records don’t lie. Why buy an aquifer if you don’t intend to profit from it somehow? I’m not saying there’s anything sinister here... just that power and access equals HUGE PAYOFFS..
