Morning MEG, Woo-Hoo, you get to be the appreciator, huh?
Me too, although I'll help a bit on clean-up.
I'm hitting the road later today. The roads are clear and I'm getting hungry for turkey!
Happy Thanksgiving!

I know that you love having family around you. I miss that by having to work the day before and the day after. Can’t really go be with them.
Happy Thanksgiving, Megs! (((hugs)))

Will do! ....and Iâll throw in an extra piece of that pecan pie! Don't forget the sugar! Nana helped Piper make pecan pie this year; but they skipped an ingredient while reading the recipe card. It looked great, it just didn't taste so good...!

A Thanksgiving with the temp in the upper 50s to lower 60s is not uncommon for a Central Indiana Thanksgiving. In fact, we have more Thanksgivings with 60 degrees than we do with snow. About 10-15 years ago my sister hosted a Thanksgiving where the temp was near 70, we had the windows open and the kids ran around in her yard in shorts and short sleeved shirts.

Amazing! I lived in Dayton as a kid (9-14); but don’t have too many Thanksgiving memories of warm weather.
In Phoenix, we always celebrated Thanksgiving with a little flag football game in the street.

Yes, I think that you are correct. When I do not have her guidance I tend to start having these crazy ideas about things that I should do and not do but the items on the lists keep changing from one list to the other! LOL

You Are the Awkward Guest |
You're the guest that doesn't fit in with everyone else at the dinner table. You feel like you can't relate to any of these people. Maybe you're a date or friend or distant cousin dragged along to Thanksgiving...
Or maybe you're the black sheep of the family. Either way, you're the odd person out. Smile, eat your dinner, and ofter to help clean up. You'll be a little less awkward in no time! |
Reckon this is right, when I'm the guest. However, 9 times out of 10 I'm the host. I help Nana prepare the feast, give a blessing, enjoy the food and company, and help clean up. That is, I help if I haven't fallen asleep watching the big game!

Back Atch’ya, Bro.
We’ve had ours already, thanks to Target’s store hours tomorrow. Our son and D-i-L came down from Tucson on Sunday for dinner and an exciting Cardinals/Bengals match-up.
