CONCORD, New Hampshire (CNN) -
A complaint alleging Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump is not eligible to be on the New Hampshire primary ballot was dismissed Tuesday.
Former state party chairman Fergus Cullen, who has been an outspoken critic of Trump's, appeared in front of the state's Ballot Law Commission and admitted that Trump is in fact a registered Republican, while also stating that he questions the candidate's allegiance to the party.
"It is my belief that Mr. Trump must present evidence that he is a registered member of the Republican Party because his views, expressed over decades, are inconsistent with the Republican Party platform and the Republican Party of New Hampshire's statement of principles and bylaws," Cullen said in a letter of complaint to the New Hampshire Ballot Law Commission on Monday.
*snip*
On November 4th Trump filed paperwork at the New Hampshire State House to appear on the ballot as a Republican. New York voter information shows that Trump is currently registered in the state as a Republican.
In light of this information, the commission unanimously voted to dismiss the complaint, with the chairman stating that it was not a forum for speeches or "advancing any other candidate."
The state party's communications director, Michael Zona, told CNN that Trump's eligibility should not be challenged.
"It is not the role of the Republican Party to determine eligibility beyond verifying party affiliation, and as Mr. Trump is a registered Republican in the state of New York, he is eligible to compete in New Hampshire's presidential primary. We do not support any effort to challenge his filing," Zona said in a statement.

By the way, if you WANT Trump to have an excuse to run third party, keeping him off of the ballot would be a great way to give him one.
A number of people here believe that the invisible GOP-E are so powerful, they can stop a man like Trump through unseen forces or use of agents. This kind of flailing tells me “the got nothin’”.
By having his complaint dismissed in one day, this guy’s credentials for the Wile E. Coyote Frustration Award have gone straight up. Way to go Fergie, way to go!
Wait, what about the big tent?
Thanks....but to my mind Kasich is no different than Jeb, really. I believe it was a ploy designed to create doubt and media play even they knew beforehand they had no grounds.
As a Cruz supporter I say this is great news, Trump should be on the ballot in NH and every state he is running in. This complaint by this GOPe tool is total and utter BS. If the other candidates want to beat Trump, then they should beat him fair and square in the primaries.
Boy, Trump’s driving all the GOPe AssHats out from under their rocks isn’t he?
The GOPe and the media don’t seem to realize they are on the receiving end of a Tea Party punch in the chops.
Rove was behind telling Bush not to respond to the dimoKKKRAT attacks. Maybe he was behind McQueeq and Romney not attacking the dimoKKKRATS all that hard.
Now that Trump is going after the dimoKKKRATS with both barrels Rove is probably having a heart attack. I am sure there are other reasons behind Roves misdeeds.
No, Cullen has hosted Yeb Bush. I posted it yesterday.
They keep dumping more ammo on Trump, as though his quiver is not full enough already.
CRUZ 2016... with great respect, admiration and appreciation for Donald Trump
As Cruz consistently demonstrates leadership he would have it no other way.
I don’t doubt that Kasich had a hand in this as well.
Trust me, if Cruz was leading in the polls, they would challenge his eligibility as well - as a citizen. The GOPe needs to go down.
Cullen hosted Kasich saturday night at his home in Dover per the press. I guess it was just a coincidence he came up with this ridicules idea to get Trump out of the primary in NH. Kind of reminds me of Obama tactics.
Even if it was Yeb, Kasich is still a pissant.
I also question Mister Trump's allegiance to the GOP (the traditional one, not talking GOPe here). I do not trust Trump. At all.
That said, we should include Trump in all votes, it's the right thing to do.
(I want Senator Ted Cruz to beat Trump fairly-and-squarely.).
Trump 1
GOP-E 0
Yes, we are keeping score.
I think they would challenge anyone who is a threat to their power, their best bet right now is Marco Rubio in 2016.
Trump needs Cruz to help with liaison with Congress and with all things governmental.
Cruz will learn a massive amount about management from Trump. Remember, Trump is a delegator...so Cruz will have all the influence he can handle.
If this comes to fruition, the U.S.A. will be a rocketship to prosperity, reestablished moral values, and leadership in the world.
he gets a cut of all fundraising as a campaign manager?
Boy he really bashed Rove last night in Columbus. “This guy has spent $400 million and lost every single race!”
