@WSJ reports that @GOP getting ready to treat me unfairlyâbig spending planned against me. That wasnât the deal!

Trump on the receiving end of political attacks, of course ... but not from his own party leaders who are supposed to fully back whoever wins the nomination, and who demanded his allegiance!
If they manage to get Trump out, there will be many voters who will not vote period. And probably will never vote for a Republican again.
They could care less.
That’s so evident that it’s the main reason why I despise them.
Trump is doing exactly what I have said for decades the RNC should support.
It failed, and now Trump is reaping the votes.
Now the RNC is having a bad case of the vapors.
Who knew? Everyone but the RNC, GOPe cabal.
Go Trump. Screw the Republican party into the ash heap of history.
Trump doesn’t need to go third party. And he doesn’t need the GOPe. But he does need to keep his legal beagles fighting against their dirty dealings. Above all, he needs to continue taking it straight to the people just as he is. The voters know what’s going on. When he has the nomination all but wrapped up (which the GOPe fears he already does), then he should go on the warpath against the corrupt GOPe cronyist big donors and formally ask the people to fund his general campaign via millions of small donations! Screw the corrupt and treasonous big money, big government GOPe!
Trump was right! Secure the nation before we lose it all!
Secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity!
I get it! Trump made a pledge to America and he want's to break it. If he was holding out he should not have made the pledge no matter how much pressure was applied. It's called integrity. He has some practice breaking vows, ask his former wives. It goes to his character and judgement. He is every bit the narcissist as Obama, he plays by his own rules, and changes them when it suits him. How can he be trusted to keep campaign promises when it is easy to say how things have changed and break them. How can you trust him to remain conservative, he was not loyal to his former party the Democrats. How can you trust a man who plays by his own rules to govern by another set of rules, the Constitution, and not become an imperial despot? What makes you believe his rhetoric and tone will suddenly become fitting the office once he is elected? The press will try to crucify any republican in office, it comes with the job and he knew it going in. Even Trump can't buy off everybody.
It appears to me that Trump is the Republican Obama. A thin skinned narcissistic who is more media than substance. He would be just as much at home in the Greek temple set with worshipers fainting about their hope and change in Washington and the healing of the planet as is Obama. Many (not all) of his followers are under the spell of the cult of personality with little to no thought of what such a person will do in office once the deal has been struck. There is almost no concern that Trump has used government corruption to expand his own empire in the past and that he still plans to use it in the future. Does he think, "Why stop the corruption when you can use it to your advantage"?
Part of vetting the candidates is to see who is presidential and who is just egotistical, Trump is showing himself to be the latter.
Cruz is the GOPe’s only hope against Trump winning as a 3rd party. Carson is slowly melting as he continues saying strange things (even if you agree, gotta admit they’re odd to the general public), and all the other candidates are fading into oblivion. Cruz could keep the hard-right conservative base, but the right-of-center may very well jump to Trump.
Would be insane for GOPe to drive out _two_ seriously viable candidates, leaving only a plate of Snickers to choose from (mushy center with a couple o’ nuts) when we need red meat to win. A 3rd party Trump/Cruz ticket could actually win.
I agree. He doesn’t need to go third party.
I want him to win from within the party. Just cram his nomination right down their throats.
If he does go third party, he will win. The Republican party will get about 5-10% of the vote, and he’ll still win.
This is building to a monumental crushing of all comers by Trump.
“Trump made a pledge to America and he want’s to break it.”
No, Trump made a pledge to the Republican party and the GOPe wants to break their end of the bargain. He’s calling them out on it _before_ they make such a move; they break it, he goes 3rd party (maybe taking Cruz with him) and has a real shot at winning against the Snickers and Chock Full O’ Nuts uniparty tickets.
You have just illustrated the marketing genius of this "crybaby". Jiu jitsu. He wouldn't be able to do this as a demonrat. They don't have our sense of fair play.
This is why I said Cruz and Trump should have left the GOP in the first place.
But thanks to all the little sycophants screaming about GOP no matter what, we once again have to spend time and resource fighting the GOP and our supposedly own people who defend them, rather than fighting open democrats.
Ain't no two ways 'bout it.
Thanks for the clarity Jim. The world sure needs some clarity.
What Jeb's low numbers should tell the GOP puppetmasters is that nobody can stand them.
They wouldn’t have gotten where they are without the publicity & validation of becoming dominating Republican candidates. They’d have been a freak sideshow, neat guys but not getting serious attention in the media. Instead they’re playing by the normal rules, slaughtering the competition, becoming indisputable leaders of the pack (Carson being the only serious alternative, but he’s self-destructing now), totally wrapping up the name recognition and support. NOW they leave the GOP, they can have a realistic shot at winning as a 3rd party, or they can stay and wrench the Republican party from GOPe control.
No way they could have succeeded as a ground-up 3rd party.
Just who else has been saying what the citizens want besides Trump? GO TRUMP.
You are incorrect my friend the GOPe doesn’t lose if Hillary wins... They keep their power and influence. The GOPe only loses if Trump wins, either as a Republican or an independent. Him winning threatens their power a Hillary win does not.
In the end, you're measured not by how much you undertake
but by what you finally accomplish.Donald Trump
I disagree, it was kinda before God and witness - ie every American and especially every republican voter.
He's calling them out on it ...
He is doing more than exposing their duplicity, he threatening to break a vow and disrupt the election. The hell with the process, if its not the Donald nobody gets to beat Hillary.
...he goes 3rd party (maybe taking Cruz with him)
I would be sorely disappointed in Cruz if he also broke his vow, but it is not his style. Ask Mitch McConnell and Boehner what Cruz does to back stabbing GOPe anti-conservatives. Cruz exposes their treachery and works like the dickens to burn down their corrupt play house by beating them and then beating them out of power.
Trump and Clinton are the only contenders who have DECADES of pervasive national exposure for their personal brands, and Hillary has squandered hers. Cruz and Sanders are making good with their base but still lack long-term press with the broad center; everyone else is “who the he11 is that?” to most of the voting public.
