“The bottom line is that Cruz would have taken the high road. Of course, such a thing would never happen with Trump. He knows no high roads, only the gutter. Since he cannot debate ideas, he insults people. Trump is the Don Rickles of American politics only without the humor.”

We get it Mr. Goldstein, you don’t like Donald Trump.

Oh please. There's no "high road" to be taken against thugs who are there to disrupt an event. He would've been forced out of any concert, movie, or lecture he disrupted, as forcefully if necessary.

If, as the author speculates, Cruz would've invited him on stage for a debate, it would've just encouraged more of the same in the future.

Is this the first time anyone told a BLM loudmouth to SHUT UP and asked for him to be removed? It's long overdue.

“Cruz would have invited Southall on stage and challenged him to a debate right then and there”

You assume these animals are people. Learn from France.

Instead, Cruz would have invited Southall on stage and challenged him to a debate right then and there.

No point in debating someone who only wants to berate.

That naively presumes the BLM guy would have consented to a polite debate. He wasn’t there to exchange ideas with the candidate, he was there to cause a ruckus and get thrown out. Even if Cruz invited him on stage, he’d likely have simply screamed rhetoric until the disruption was intolerable. Cruz is a master of rhetoric vs others playing by the same rules; Trump demonstrated an ability to handle warfare (recognize an attack and neutralize it by force immediately).

When they roughed up one of their member

Which they did not do. Conservatives should be smart enough to not take anything the media reports as factual until the watch the video. The BLM clown did more harm to himself by dropping to the ground then anyone in the crowd did to him

And that’s what I like about Ted Cruz.

Who else could get Medea Benjamin to apologize for interrupting and call him a patriot.

Cruz is my guy and I thought about the same exact scenario: Cruz inviting the protester on the stage to debate him. I'm sure Cruz would have eviscerated the protestor who would've only continued to shout "BLACK LIVES MATTER!!!" After a few minutes of this, I'm sure Cruz would have had the protestor escorted off the stage.

The problem is that the BLM movement would begin stacking his events with folks more ready to debate and, while I full confidence is Cruz's ability to debate anyone, it would be a distraction and only encourage more protests.

If/when this happens again, the candidate hosting the event should ignore the protestor, have people on your team start chanting "All Lives Matter!!!" to get the crowd chanting it as well while your security team peacefully (as possible) removes the distraction.

Were they polling at a monastery? This directly reflects against yesterday’s WaPo polling, finding Trump closer to 30 pts ahead of any and all second place seat warmers, on all four major political issues.

I dunno about CBS here, but that seems to odd for words, like maybe a fixed universe of fixed polling, compared to every other result.

For several months we have wanted someone to stand up to the Black Lives Matter folks, and tell them to shove it.

Donald Trump is the first one to do it, and here Aaron Goldstein advocates he basically take it back, and give the guy a global platform to spew from.

As far as I know, there’s no confirmation this guy was “roughed up”.

What we do know is the protester’s record, and it isn’t a pretty one.

He’s a public malcontent.

I’ve dealt with his type before. I and a few others had to take one down at a local political event and remove his ass from the premises.

Later we found out he was a habitual attacker at these events. He later tried to suit the host of the political even to no avail.

What a piece of work he was.

We go and protest outside with signs and try to persuade people with facts.

They attack with lies and physical abuse if they can.

I guess that’s why it is such a disgusting sight to see the supporters of some candidates here lie for months at a time after being set straight on topics.

It’s a Lefty tactic. It’s GOPe like. It seems to me like the stuff of James Carville and Lanny Davis.

#1 - Trump handled it perfectly - If anything, Cruz would have been PC about it, at least, which is the last thing we need right now.

#2 - you might want to get on board with Trump/Cruz 2016 real quick, unless, of course, you want to see Hitlery win that bad.

Cruz would have invited Southall on stage and challenged him to a debate right then and there. Cruz would give Southall an opportunity to speak his peace and then Cruz would take his arguments apart.

Review the video of the BLM folks at Bernie Sanders' rally. There would have been no debate. They are not there to debate. The guy would have just launched into a filibuster speech, ranting at length, until Cruz finally told security to take him away.

You can only debate with people interested in finding out the truth. The BLM folk know the truth is not on their side, so they will not debate, only rant.
