Rush Limbaugh stood up for the "great service" Donald Trump is doing by taking on the media.
"Trump is, I think, doing a great service," Limbaugh said on "Fox News Sunday." "He is showing that you do not have to fear attacks from media." "He's showing you do not have to fear being politically correct or violating political correctness," Limbaugh added.The radio host also weighed in on other 2016 candidates. He said Ben Carson is "one of the most decent human beings in the country," but not equipped to be president "at this stage."

His comments about Ted Cruz were pretty much an endorsement, IMHO.
It will be interesting to see if this moves the polls in any way. I remember how Scott Walker shot up in the polls when Rush was complimenting him for what he had done in Wisconsin.
Limbaugh does not endorse anyone. If he did he would lose listeners. People take what he says if it makes them feel good.
I realize it wasn’t an endorsement, but he most certainly holds a very high opinion of Ted Cruz. Did you hear him?

I always listen to Rush, but he never supports any candidate and usually says nice things about all of them...well, except for McCain 8 years ago. He refrained, but I know it was hard.

Rush is a shrewd business man, it makes no sense to not please as many candidates and listeners as possible. I think he really likes Cruz and would love to see him win, but he also dares not offend Trump and he likes how Trump does not flinch at PC liberal libel. No need to turn off the audience or to attach himself to a candidate that might lose and offend the winner. Rush has to play it smart and not say too much or too little.
Yeah, He shot Walker right out of the race. LOL Rush really has very little impact on the elections.

Walker went up in the polls right after Rush praised him. Walker then proceeded to tank by his own doing - it was a long time after Rush had said anything about him.
Perhaps he has little impact, I don’t know. But I’m still curious about Cruz in the next round of polls.
I certainly respect your opinion but I would offer that you are absolutely wrong..........
Throughout his career he has repeatedly explained why he never endorses ANY primary candidate and for someone such as you to clam that he does obviously does not listen to him on a regular basis.......
With that being said, all Rush does is defend ALL the candidates from the ongoing attacks from the MSM.
Unfortunately, there are a large number of members here who don't support that philosophy and thus have ignorantly joined ranks with the DNC and the MSM in destroying any of our candidates they personally are opposed to............
For Carson, Rush used “Bless my heart”
Cruz is in there fighting the cartel and Trump ticks off all the right people and is standing up for American Exceptionalism
To boot Trump is self funding billonaire that has the energy of a 5 year old with his own heavy jet, hotels around the country, and seems to have a very accurate crystal ball.
I think we are winners with either Trump or Cruz, the rest of the field just does not rate.
At this point I will be very disappointed if we get anyone else

There is something about that statement that rubs me the wrong way. Trump is running for the presidency, not merely running to render a service for someone else.
