A firefighter who was allowed to graduate the Fire Academy despite failing physical tests has already gone out on medical leave — just 10 days into the job, The Post has learned.
Probationary firefighter Choeurlyne Doirin-Holder injured herself Monday while conducting a routine check of equipment at Queens’ Engine 308 in South Richmond Hill. Getting off the truck, Doirin-Holder missed a step and landed on her left foot, suffering a fracture, sources said.
It was her second shift after a transfer from Engine 301. In training for a hazmat assignment, officers found her struggling to perform the required tasks.

She hit the jackpot. Set for life, with no expectation that she will contribute to society. Everyone knows she can’t do the job, so no one has any expectations. Pure gold, baby!

They’re doing it all wrong. The firefighters should have posted a sign behind the rig that read ‘SHOE SALE 50% OFF” and I;ll bet she can carry twice the load.

Since she was injured on duty, she is eligible for a disability pension that would pay three-quarters of her annual salary, tax-free, if deemed unfit to return.
This is what happens when standards are lowered to create politically correct fire departments.
Firefighting is not a woman’s job. Its arduous, physically demanding and dangerous work.
It involves working with heavy equipment and often being in life-threatening situations.
But for liberals, reality takes a back seat to avoid offending militant activists who want the appearance of equality even that means a fire department can’t fulfill its mission.
Chourlean wins the lottery. No doubt her injury will be deemed to be a permanent disability and after the out of court settlement for her lawsuit, life will be good. No more days of drudgery and danger at the fire house.

Hired a black guy once whose last job was a supervisor.
He proved to have no idea how to perform the work he
applied for. After a week or so on the job, flailing and failing,
he claimed to have injured his back while
stepping off a skid onto the floor. Since he was still
in the probationary period, he was fired.
Stereotypes wouldn’t persist if there weren’t reasons
for them. They can save a lot of time.
