A Bainbridge Island teacher is giving a lesson that has parents on edge. The lesson plan: Boys can't play with Legos.
The Bainbridge Island Review reports that Karen Keller, a kindergarten teacher at Blakely Elementary, is tackling the issue of gender equity by not allowing the boys in her class to play with Legos.
The Lego-restricted lesson plan doesn't make a whole lot of sense for KIRO Radio's Dori Monson.
"If I was a parent of a boy in that class, I'd get them out of there ... we've gone insane in our public schools," he said. "This Bainbridge Island kindergarten class is just another example of how insane it's all gotten."

The only solution to the education woes in this country is to get government out at all levels. Parents should have the right to choose what kind of school they want, and this would end the fights over what is taught and how it is taught.
Public schools haven’t changed in 100 years in how they do things, and there will be no innovation or progress until the private sector takes over education.

That seems to be list of teacher’s websites, not a list of the entire staff. She just may not have a website.

If I had ANY kids in that school and with that mentally challenged so called teacher, I would send my kids to school with Legos, maybe even help my kid a gun out of Legos. That idiotic mentally challenged person would have a fit...

Private schools are getting as bad as public school now. Before we decided to homeschool, we looked at a few private schools and some of them are involved in teaching transstudents and students should support them.
Legos wouldn’t let you buy stock...it is privately owned. Lego America headquarters is in Enfield, Connecticut and their day care center looks like a Lego brick...
I’d honestly send this *itch to the DMZ, she can teach the land mines to play patty cake.
She’d have been on my $hitlist long ago knowing how I feel about LEGOs.
That or lock her in a shed and subject her to a constant stream of clicks and buzzers.
My child is going to a public kindergarten next year........ They start this poop, we are out on day 2.
