Colbert's 'Late Show' has become propaganda for Democrats

So Stephen Colbert turns out to be just as much of an a-hole as "Stephen Colbert." Viewers have noticed.

After an initial burst of interest spurred by CBS's big-bucks saturation advertising campaign for "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," the show's ratings have tanked and it is now running third in late night behind NBC's Jimmy Fallon and ABC's Jimmy Kimmel, who rarely has managed second place before.

The reason? A survey by the Hollywood Reporter found that conservative viewers are turning off Colbert in droves. Nearly twice as many Republicans are watching Kimmel as Colbert, who has turned "Late Night" into a sort of wannabe MSNBC show.

The pattern is familiar: When a Democrat is the guest, Colbert is Barbara Walters. When a Republican is on, he turns into Tim Russert.

Being very successful is not narcissistic.

Look up narcissism, before you bloviate your ignorance.

I have never found Steve Colbert to be funny in the few times I have seen him.

He’s a smarmy lil leftist schmuck just to look at. Why lose good sleep watching that hack late at night? Or any other time for that matter.

Nobody is watching any of it.

The left cannot figure it out.

No, i think the one you are referring to has a cause bigger than his own personal goals and bluster isn’t the same as lying.

There are more than enough of us that if we stopped watching these things and indeed, moved over to more fair programming to show it, it would send a message. How many other Republicans/conservatives are still watching Colbert (and other programming like this) and just tolerating it? Stop watching and click over to another choice on the dial. There are dozens of channels now just with an antenna.

Carson’s show was the Tonight Show. CBS invented the competing Late Show for Letterman back in 1993 when he moved from Late Night on NBC and Leno took over Carson’s chair the year before.

He’s weird and not funny.

He wasn’t very before but his shtick of a parody version of Bill O’Reilly/Sean Hannity that he did on Comedy Central worked for him. Without it, he’s helpless.
