The Fat Lady ain't singing. Not yet.

Shades of the 1993 election in which Mary Landrieu rode the wave of the Sugar crises in South America, David Vitter, behind in the polls, all runoff season, is building a typhoon over the international Paris terrror crises.

In the last poll of the runoff, John C. Convillion of JMC Analytics notes the race has now dropped to 4 percent difference. Weeks ago, Edwards led by 22 points.

The usual “trust me, I’m totally not going to betray you like every Democrat has in the past...

Yep, the deceit of Webb. Lucy never lacks a football.

But it’s the momentum - Vitter was down by 16 POINTS in this same poll a few days earlier. And don’t forget that polls showed Conway ahead of Matt Bevin by 5 points and he ended up losing to Bevin by 9 points - a polling miss of 14 points. I’m fully aware that David Vitter could lose but this is a sign of progress and a huge motivation to get out the vote for him tomorrow. I have a hunch that there’s a lot of Dardenne and Angelle supporters who are drifting back to Vitter because, after all, do we really want a Democrat in the governor’s mansion in Louisiana?

Well...well, the low life Obamabot vermin media & pollsters begin the hedging of their bets. For weeks they have told us this race for LA Governor is over...and David Vitter will get politically slaughtered by John Bel Edwards...the Obama, Democrat vermin!!! Now it comes to light that Obamabot, Edwards will fill Louisiana with Obama’s beloved Migrant Muslim terrorists to do harm, murder and cleansing of the Cajun catholics and the christians in New Orleans!!!

If there are any voters that vote tomorrow and vote for Edwards....they must be stoned on drugs or drink, insane...or just plain dumb!!! Folks turn out in big numbers and cast your vote for a man, DAVID VITTER, that will protect the folks in Louisiana from Obama’s beloved, adored...Muslim Brotherhood
Throat Cutter Brethren!!! Casting a vote for Edwards is akin to wishing for a death wish for you, your family, your loved ones!!! Obama *& his Democrats must be totally, politically destroyed!!!

I’ve resolved never to vote for a Democrat, regardless. If I’m not happy with the Republican for some reason, I just don’t vote or vote write-in or something. But never vote for a Democrat, because no matter how conservative they claim to be, they will ALWAYS let you down.

Vitter has a winning issue here. He needs to go with it.

And if the 16points down is accurate, the. He is likely 16 points down with 30% of the votes cast.

So he needs to be UP, and up by a substantial Margie to make a comeback win.

I feel the same way, but you are voting for a Democrat if you don’t’ show up or waste your vote. The last Democrat I will ever vote for was Clinton in 1992. I show up and push the Republican button every election since. I will continue to do that until I die. Then and only then will I vote for a Democrat.

Actually, I’m pretty sure these polls take the early vote into account. It would be foolish not to.

I agree. And that’s a big reason why I wonder if the GOPers who say they’re voting for Edwards are going to do the right thing in the voting booth and switch to David Vitter. Deep down inside they know that Edwards is an Obama guy (he says he voted for him twice and even was a delegate to nominate Obama at the DNC). If he were a truly conservative Democrat, he would have done like Zell Miller and endorsed and supported the GOP candidates for president. That speaks volumes to me.

There’s no doubt Vitter’s prostitution scandal has hurt him, but I think a lot of disaffected Republicans will come around in the voting booth.

My understanding is that another prominent Republican candidate for Governor threw his support behind Vitter's Dem opponent after the primary, and that hurt Vitter, as well.

Louisiana is over 30% black, and early voting has been especially heavy in the black and urban parishes.

He’s down because of the old rehashed scandal.

“In 2007, Vitter admitted to and apologized for prior involvement with a Washington, DC escort service”

He will win till in a walk. Security trumps sex.

RE: In 2007, Vitter admitted to and apologized for prior involvement with a Washington, DC escort service

The question I have is this — Why wasn’t this brought up then? Why now? If he were to lose, he should have lost then.

It was an he dealt with it. Truth be told this is the only thing they have but the big problem Vitter has had is GOP infighting even though Vitter is without a doubt as solid a conservative you can get on where voting is concerned. Jindal has even held back an endorsement foolishly. These people are fools. Why would anyone want a liberal Obama Democrat in the governors office.
