RUSH: What I'm gonna start with today is not the most important aspect of what's going on today. It's a factor, but it is interesting politics, and it is evidence once again why you can totally trust that which I predict, that which I tell you, totally trust my instincts because I use intelligence guided by experience.
Great to have you, folks, the EIB Network, the one and only and the Rush Limbaugh program here at 800-282-2882, and the e-mail address, ElRushbo@eibnet.com.
When this news of the ISIS attack in Paris hit on Friday, Monday of this week was our first day, obviously, to discuss it. One of the things that I said early on in the discussion on Monday of the activities in France over the weekend, I said, you watch, this attack, there will be many results, many reactions to it. I said one of the things that's gonna happen is Trump is going to skyrocket in the polls. And he has.
Now, that's not the news. The news is the Drive-Bys cannot believe it. I got two examples. Hill.com: "Trump Rises in Wake of Paris Attacks." And they write this from a standpoint they just don't get it. They're infuriated. They are puzzled. There are people in both the Republican and Democrat establishments who still believe that this Trump campaign isn't real. They think that he's gonna quit at some point. That at some point he's gonna have gotten his jollies, he's gonna have proved his points, whatever it is, and something's gonna happen that he's just gonna wave good-bye and say he's on to something else.
I think that there is a sizable contingent, and particularly in the Republican Party, that actually believes it's gonna happen. I think the state of denial is still pretty high, not so much about Carson, but about Trump. I think that they really believe that by time we get to Iowa and New Hampshire, Trump is for some reason -- and they don't know what it is -- not gonna be there. They are telling themselves this because they hope it's the case. There isn't any evidence of it. They just haven't accepted what is happening here. And, as such, the fact that the Paris event happens and Trump skyrockets in the polls has baffled them yet again.
"Trumpâs gains show him once again confounding Beltway wisdom, where the widespread view was that such a grave event would lead voters to look toward White House candidates who are purportedly more mature and sophisticated than the erstwhile star of 'The Apprentice.'" That's how The Hill leads their story. That is a perfect case of projection. The Hill put their own opinion in your voice. They assume that you would think and react exactly as they have. And who are they? They are the Drive-By Media, inside-the-Beltway Washington establishment. "Trump's gains show him once again confounding Beltway wisdom --" i.e., us "-- where the widespread view was that such a grave event would lead voters to look toward candidates more mature and sophisticated."
So they're admitting that they and everybody else inside the Beltway thought that you would look at this kind of an event and say, "Oh, my God, we gotta get rid of this Trump guy. He's nowhere near serious. He's nowhere near qualified to deal with it." When the truth is a majority of people in the polling sample think Trump's the only guy willing to deal with it. That's the size of the disconnect here. As I say, this is not the most important aspect of this at all, but it is a teachable moment because it illustrates just how out of touch the mainstream media and the Washington establishment are in terms of you and the American public and what you think and how you think. They're clueless.
They also have this tendency to foist and project their opinion on you. They think Trump's not up to snuff. They think this is going to show that Trump's not qualified. They've always thought that. And they think at some point something like this is gonna come along and convince you, because, see, they get it and you don't. You're dunderheads. You're behind the curve. They are ahead of the curve, and they're just waiting for you to finally figure out what Trump is, that they already know, and that is essentially they think he's a fraud and a pretender and not real.
Meanwhile, the New York Times and the rest of the Drive-Bys have actually published articles claiming the ISIS attacks should help Hillary's campaign. Would somebody tell me how in the world that happened? Once again, they're hoping that it helps Hillary's campaign, but gosh if I can figure out how.

RUSH: Now, back to Trump. It's not just TheHill.com. As I say, the New York Times and the rest of the Drive-Bys are publishing articles claiming these ISIS attacks should help Hillary's campaign. And the reason is because of her record at the State Department. I kid you not. This is how out of touch these people are.
They really, really, really, really are out of touch with mainstream American thinking. It's not news to me, but it might be news to more and more people. It's a combination of arrogance and condescension. They just are unable to understand and they are intolerant of any views other than their own. So in the playbook, in the manifesto, in the narrative, in the template, it is written that if there's a terror attack out there, it has to benefit Hillary. How can you say that after Benghazi? How can you say...? Hillary Clinton's been called on the carpet over Benghazi.
A lot more people paid attention to that than the media knows or wants to be aware of. She doesn't have a sterling record as secretary of state. She certainly doesn't have an anti-terrorism record. The thing she's on the record for? Don't forget her definition of smart power. We must empathize with our opponents. We must sat down and chat with them. We must learn what it is that inspires them and motivates them. In this way, we build a bridge of commonality, and in this way we reduce tensions and so forth.
Why isn't that working in Europe?
Europe has basically bent over and grabbed the ankles for I don't know how many years now doing everything they can to show they're tolerant and accepting, and what's happening? They're being laughed at, and all of that tolerance is being exploited. They're being laughed at. Europe is considered a bunch of jokes now. The French, though, are finally manning up. Let's move on now another example. This is Mara Liasson. This last night Special Report with Bret Baier, who said, "Mara, how is this playing for Republicans? Where do you think this race goes? Has it completely turned after the Paris attacks?"
LIASSON: There were a lot of predictions that the Paris attacks would be the tipping point that a lot of Republican establishment figures have been waiting for, meaning that the angry outsiders -- Trump and Carson -- would fade and Republican voters would kind of wake up and start looking for a more plausible commander-in-chief --
RUSH: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. That just sounds almost exactly like what I read at TheHill.com, except Mara Liasson doesn't work there. Let me check something. TheHill.com. When did this thing...? I'm not sure. Looks like I got it this morning, and Mara was on TV last night. I don't know when The Hill... I'm gonna have to click on the link and find out when this piece was posted at The Hill.
Recue that, Mike, 'cause this sounds like exactly what I just read to you from TheHill.com: "Trumpâs gains show him once again confounding Beltway wisdom, where the widespread view was that such a grave event would lead voters to look toward White House candidates who are purportedly more mature and sophisticated than the erstwhile star of The Apprentice." That's TheHill.com. Again, here's Mara Liasson from the top...
LIASSON: There are a lot of predictions that the Paris attacks would be the tipping point that a lot of Republican establishment figures have been waiting for, meaning that the angry outsiders -- Trump and Carson -- would fade and Republican voters would kind of wake up and start looking for a more plausible commander-in-chief, someone who had foreign policy experience and was vetted and experienced. That hasn't happened. Trump has gone up. Trump gets really good marks on being tough enough to fight ISIS in these polls. "Bombing the (expletive deleted) out of ISIS" seems to be a pretty appealing message to a lot of Republican base voters. So in that sense, this has followed the pattern of the Republican race so far, which is that conventional wisdom has been wrong at every turn.
RUSH: Yeah, and you are one of the architects of it. But notice how similar her report is to what we read from TheHill.com. I'm not criticizing Mara Liasson. Please don't send her a bunch of e-mails. I'm just pointing out here that they all think the same way that they either talk the same way or they read the same stuff. They go to the same clearinghouse for the approved Drive-By Media opinion on any particular story, 'cause it's uncanny. Her reaction to this is identical to what TheHill.com's was!
And it is that Republican voters are finally gonna wake up and realize Trump's totally wrong to deal with something like this. He's not mature enough; he's not worldly enough. That, to me, is just uncanny. And then their minds are boggled when they find out that Trump went up. But I ... Mara, I need to tell you people something. I need to remind all of you in the Drive-Bys of something. And it was there for you to see, because it was a Drive-By Media report. I had it here on this program yesterday.
It was a dissection and analysis of the demographics of Trump's support. And you note she says here he "seems to have a pretty appealing message to a lot of Republican base voters." That may be, but it's not just Republican base voters, Mara. Do you know, ladies and gentlemen, that close to a majority of Trump's support is coming from blue-collar voters? That was the news yesterday. Blue-collar. Now, when you hear the term "blue-collar," people automatically think union thug or union employee, union workers or something.
As I said yesterday, I think blue-collar has a new meaning today, and that is somebody who pays taxes. So Trump's doing well among blue-collar people. I don't think Mara Liasson and Drive-By Media would ever associate the Republican base as blue-collar, do you? No. So they're not even up to speed on where Trump is getting his support. They're not even... I don't think they have the ability to be honest with themselves. They can't believe that anybody who would vote Democrat might support Trump.
Why?
"Well, Trump's gauche. You know, he's unsophisticated and he's not part of the network and he's not one of us." They just can't believe that somebody who would vote for Obama or vote for Hillary would be lighting it up for Trump. But Trump's support, the point is, is coming from across the spectrum. It's not just whatever they think the Republican base is. And his numbers are way up. And I remember what I said Monday: "If he wants to own this campaign, he'll pick up this terrorism and run with it like he has on immigration -- and if he does, nobody will be able to stop him."
Now, grab sound bite eight, because Trump... I watched the video of this. Trump is drawing crowds that they're not reporting on anymore. These crowds are huge where he's going. This was in Worcester, Massachusetts, last night at a campaign event, and he got heckled. Now, this guy... You watch this video. Trump is just... It looks like he's having more fun than I've ever seen anybody have on a campaign trail. Ted Cruz looks like that, too. But Trump just stands up there and smirks. You know, he's just in total control. He knows the audience is eating it up.
Listen to what happened here...
Donald Trump Ridicules Heckler
TRUMP: Fifty million people on food stamps. And I'll tell you what. If we had a real...
HECKLER: (disruption)
TRUMP: If we had a real --
HECKLER: (disruption)
TRUMP: Hello. Hello.
RUSH: A heckler. A heckler. They're throwing the heckler out here.
AUDIENCE: We need Trump! We need Trump! We need Trump! We need Trump!
TRUMP: You know, it's -- it's amazing. I mention food stamps and that guy who's seriously overweight went crazy. He went crazy!
AUDIENCE: (cheering)
TRUMP: Amazing. Amazing. That's an amazing sight.
RUSH: He owns it, and they're eating it up.

RUSH: I may have to reverse things here because I just found out that TheHill.com piece -- "Trump's gains show him once again confounding Beltway wisdom, where the widespread view was that such a grave event would lead voters to look toward White House candidates who are purportedly more mature and sophisticated..." That was posted at six a.m. So it might be these people are stealing from Mara, not the other way around. See, that's why I don't want you sending Mara Liasson a bunch of e-mails.
I don't ever have to do that, folks, by the way. You know, I take pride in the fact that we don't join the fray here and these public campaigns of sending e-mails. I mean, feel free to do it if you want. That's the point: It's up to you. I just don't want anybody to think I'm ever encouraging it to happen. Now, can I tell you a funny story? I was recently requested to appear on a television show everybody would know, and the host said, "Look, I want to pretape it, because the last time you were on, whenever I asked you a question, I was inundated.
"We got so many e-mails from people mad at me for interrupting you. You're either gonna have to shorten your answers or we're gonna have to pretape this because, I'll tell you, it was overwhelming. We... It clogged up our e-mail box." The audience -- you people -- are so loyal and you are so protective, that whenever I'm even just asked a question that you think I'm being interrupted, you mob them with e-mail. This guy says, "Can we pretape it so we can edit out anything that looks like I'm interrupting you?" It doesn't matter who. It's just... It's great for you people.

He said cut their income ( oil) Russians figured that out too.
Trump lives by the Christian ethos, that all lives are precious.
Liberals do not. They can’t understand why he would protect America and it’s citizens.
The Beltway Establishment was stuned, so they all reached for a beeber-like device.
Beltway wisdom is what produced McCain and Romney
The Elites are dumbfounded that the great unwashed aren’t buying their line of BS this time....They are busy manipulating the process so they can ship or circuit the will of the people...if they do they are as dead as the Demoncrats.
“Beltway wisdom” is an oxymoron.
What is this beeber like device I read here from time to time ?
'Nuff said.
More than enough said.
Round up all these men of fighting age. Conscript them and form them into a fighting force. Then send them back to fight for their country. If they don’t want to, then ship them to Alaska somewhere, they can set up shop in the tundra!

Human nature being what it is, it’s a no brainer. The more the MSM and e-GOP tell people they don’t want Trump, can’t have Trump and should listen to their betters, the more the people want him.
This sounds like really strong evidence that the Journolist is back in action. If you ever read any of the Journolist releases obtained by Tucker Carlson et al., you could see those guys plotting political attacks on Pubbies and spinning stuff furiously, play up this, don't emphasize that. Real scumwads, weaselly little pols without the guts to stand for public office, as has been pointed out many times by many FReepers, and before that by Ronald Reagan.
“What is this beeber like device I read here from time to time ?”
IIRC, a long time FReeper used it to describe a hand held device, and over the years, it slipped into FReeper folklore : )
