Shouting down guest speakers, disrupting events, and mobbing individuals would not be tolerated at Disney World, so why on campus?

That's easy. People take Disney World more seriously than Yale University.

Obama and George Soros have flown Hamas and Islamic Jihad affiliated Palistinians experienced in community organizing the Intifada and suicide bombings into the country and paid them to advise and train #BlackLivesMatter in the arts of urban terrorism

I repeat what I have said elsewhere here: I am retiring at the end of next semester in part because I think within a VERY short time it will be entirely impossible to teach with any degree of honesty about any subject.

The other day I was in the library and I sensed some microaggression from the elderly librarian as she was showing her privilege, so I had to immediately run to my safe zone.

Radicalization is not limited to terrorists.

It is exactly what is happening in colleges and universities across the country. We need to recognize it as such and deal with it on that level.

The assumed impoverished black student at the University of Missouri who went on a hunger strike to protest "white privilege" was raised in plentitude as the son of a multimillionaire corporate executive. The young woman who yelled obscenities at Yale over Halloween costumes is likewise a child of privilege. Campus outbursts reveal more about the anxieties and neuroses of the adolescent and pampered than about existential issues of hunger, violence, or bias.

Universities have gotten exactly what they deserve, and so have we, the taxpayers who have permitted them to expand.

Since the opening of the floodgates to admit barely adult, poorly- or unqualified youths into the classrooms, the power structure of the campus has shifted from the faculty and administration into the hands of the student population and their organizers.

This shift began to be evident directly after government-backed tuition loans became available, allowing the colleges to to reap the nation's wealth by lowering the standards of both admissions and the quality of faculty applicants needed to process the magnifed undergraduate population.

This downward trend of quality is due to almost unrestricted access to loans by any child willing to mortgage his/her future to possess a diploma hardly worth the paper on which it is written, from a provider that treats each student as merely another cash cow to be herded by barely experienced instructors ill-fitted to prepare one for a promised meaningful future.

IMO.

VDH nails it.

American campuses have become breeding grounds for budding Hitlers, not budding Einsteins.

“Shouting down guest speakers, disrupting events, and mobbing individuals would not be tolerated at Disney World, so why on campus?”

If he’s implying that these graduates could get jobs at Disney World as greeters, he’s wrong.

Just who do these snowflakes think is going to hire them if and when they graduate. They are intent on obtaining a degree based on socialist ideals. That has not and will not work in the real world. Getting a job and dictating to your superior your work conditions will get you directions to the door. Then they will have to spend their time whining to some government official about how they were discriminated against.

The strangest campus derangement is the graft of Victorian prurience onto postmodern crudity.

Honest to God, you'd think some of these people need a Fainting Couch, once standard equipment at all of the finer Ladies' Rooms.

This was an affectation then and it's an affectation now, less justifiable in these secular days because the people who are ostensibly shocked and offended by this sort of transgression are expressing it in multisyllabic obscenities. Were this spontaneous one would have to give it a pass as just another transient political silliness, but it isn't spontaneous at all, it's carefully nurtured around entirely fake offenses by people with an ulterior political motive. That is less forgivable, and to use it as an excuse to employ violence against one's fellow citizens is not forgivable at all.

...a media professor shouts for students in the vicinity to strong-arm a student photographer to stop him from taking pictures in a way that she does not approve. Other staff members try to block and push away a journalist they find bothersome.

A 1940 Hollywood propaganda film about the creeping rise of Nazi Germany in social society, The Mortal Storm is coming to Turner Classic Movies on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 19 @ 10:00 PM (ET).

Can it happen here? Might it happen soon? Is it happening now?

Set your DVR.
