House Speaker Paul Ryan says not to expect any Donald Trump-style mass deportations under his watch.
In a "60 Minutes" profile that aired Sunday, Ryan told interviewer Scott Pelley he doesn't advocate the GOP presidential front-runner's plan to deport every illegal immigrant.
"I can't imagine how it could happen," Ryan said.
Ryan, who at 45 is the youngest House speaker since the 1860s, said he doesn't see the job as a long-term proposition.
"I was just planning on serving out my tenure as Ways and Means chair, and then going finding out something else to do with my life," he said. "I really don't know how long this is going to last. This wasn't something I was planning on doing in the first place." In fact, Ryan had to have his arm twisted to take the job. He has three children between the ages of 10 and 13 and said he didn't want to spend weekends away from them and attending fundraisers all over the country. His wife, Janna, agreed.

Paul Ryan cannot stop this president from ignoring the law...
How does he propose to stop a President who simply enforces the law as itâs actually written?
THANK you! That is EXACTLY right!
Every elected official takes this Oath:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God."
If Ryan or ANY elected official violates that Oath, that constitutes treason against the Constitution and We The People of the United States.
Existing laws on the books provide for the deportation of any individual who is in this Nation illegally. The only act that President Trump (or President Cruz) needs to execute is an executive order to their chief law enforcement officer (the Attorney General) to round up and deport those who are violating the immigration laws of the United States. And furthermore, neither Paul Ryan or ANY member of Congress has one damn word to say about it.
We are either a nation of laws AND borders, or we are no nation at all. In my opinion, Paul Ryan needs to get 'Boehnered' this week.

So how is Ryan going to prevent a President Trump (Cruz) from enforcing existing law? Of course, just like Bonheur stopped 0bama hundreds of times!

The mass deportation of twelve to thirty million illegal immigrants is really not gonna happen, and the attempt would be folly. On the other hand, self-deportation is a proven method, and will work with no new laws- just enforce the ones that are already on the books, starting with E-Verify, and prosecution of employers of illegals.

With these guys everything is totally impossible. It just can’t be done except Clinton and Obama combined deported 13 million people.

Webster also voted for Ryan, from what I’ve read. Too bad they didn’t try to get Allen West or someone who actually cares about borders and sovereignty.

Somebody said of Ryan some time ago that he oozes Open Borders from every pore. He’s an absolute fanatic on the subject.
The fact that the Pope and most bishops are fanatically in favor of the destruction of the West through Muslim invasion doesn’t help at all.

All these guys are bought and paid for by the Chamber of Commerce crowd that got them elected.
Look at the obvious stupidity of the Democrat party.
“We have a shrinking middle class and we need $15 an hour wages!”
But... let in 11 million (we’ve been stuck on that number now for ten years, by the way) unskilled laborers.
The Democrat voters should be the FIRST in line to support an over supply of cheap labor.
And they will vote for Trump exactly for this reason.
This is why all the ‘black lives matter’ and other racial b.s. have been funded by the Leftists (Soros). The black are wising up that they are being replace by Hispanics, both in the job market and in political clout numbers.

On the other hand, self-deportation is a proven method, and will work with no new laws- just enforce the ones that are already on the books, starting with E-Verify, and prosecution of employers of illegals. With one exception. Illegal entry into the country is currently rated as a misdemeanor.
It would be appropriate to amend the law to read illegal presence in the country is a felony.
Stiffening the penalty for illegal presence would put some teeth in the law.

My method (Ike’s) basically works without the law, or classification as misdemeanor or felony, it just dries up the jobs, and that is what causes self deportation. Stop the employment of illegals, and they will leave.
