Two days after the horrendous jihadist attacks in Paris, Pope Francis preached about the âend times,â encouraging his hearers to be vigilant and ready at any moment to meet God face to face.

What - any references to your eschatological view?
Scripture also tells us no one will know the day or time.....
The Catholic Church normally teaches about the last things, including the end of the world, right before Advent.
The Gospel readings are full of end times passages.
With respect, I don’t see a story here.
Maybe also a reminder to be prepared in the spiritual sense.
“What - any references to your eschatological view?”
Classic historic post-mil.
Does this mean that I shouldn't buy green bananas???
Reality? Doubtful. His order were Marxists long before Karl.

“From each according to their ability; to each according their need” Only works as long as “reality” is such that the ability in that equation outweighs the need.
Won’t be the first time the charade got rebooted (Romans 1:25) and probably not the last, either.
He should be telling Africa and the middle east to stop breeding and tell islam to sod off.
He spoke today because of the Bible readings, that is all.
The Prophesied False Prophet prepping his “flock”. LOL!
It’s the theme of today’s readings from Daniel and Paul to the Hebrews and Mark’s Gospem 24-32. I always hated going to Mass on this Sunday when I was in Catholic elementary school. I hated the End of the World Gospel.
Like a Rabbi reading creation in Genesis on the proper day. Of course a Reform Rabbi might make a left turn on Darwin Ave. But you’d think the author, a Phd, would be aware of that, since he’s writing about it. Quite a lesson on the power of the media.
Big problem is that majority of Europe has become atheist or agnostic since the last crusade.
When reading the Bible, every time Israel strayed from God, God would use foreign armies to destroy her. Seems this same thing is happening to Europe.
America has been invaded too, but most of our invaders are at least from Catholic countries. That is until recently, when Obama has increased the number of muslims coming in.
Plus adding, November is the month to pray and remember the dead as well. Add that, the days are at the shortest, and frankly, it is a very tough time of the year.
He most certainly is not. No member of any of the ancient liturgical "apostolic" churches is a dispensationalist. In fact they look down on dispensationalists (and all Fundamentalist Protestants, really).
Yep. Bidness as Usual.

Yes, thanks for the clarification.
This was cleared up earlier by Marcella where she pointed out the title and article was quite misleading. And I accepted her clarification.
That’s funny - since Pope Francis (Jorge Bergoglio) is a hard core leftist.
Er-uhm ... Today is the 26th Sunday after Pentecost ... The Mass is taken from the 6th Sunday of the Epiphany - and the gospel is about the Kingdom of Heaven being likened to a mustard seed, etc. No “TEOTWAWKI” in any homily there.
