During CNNâs November 13 coverageâjust hours after the heinous terror attacks on Paris had taken placeâCNN law enforcement analyst Tom Fuentes said European countries have long pretended that gun control can keep them safe, but it cannot.
In fact, Fuentes alluded to how the gun control culture offers a large number of âsoft targetsâ to âgangsters and terroristsâ who have no problem getting the guns that law-abiding citizens are forbidden to own.
Fuentes said, âMany of the European countries have been in denial that their strict gun control laws are going to keep guns out of the hands of bad guys, and it just doesnât.â He added, âGangsters and terrorists have no problem getting automatic weapons, grenades, and all kinds of other equipment to use in these attacks. And weâre seeing a lot of that more and more, where a lot of people didnât believe that before.â

...where I live it is exceptionally difficult to purchase a weapon .. let alone get certified to conceal-carry... Bay Area?
I understand that in most California counties you can get CC permits, but not in the Bay Area, or L.A. Unless you have connections.

Many good points there. I understand that the French ambassador removed the tweet. Could be the foreign ministry back home is letting ‘his excellency’ know that it is not nice to talk about the potential successor to Obama that way.

Arggh! Hornady 124 gr XTP. Was loading them with Hodgdon. They make loaded ammo using those bullets and others use them too.
9 mm is probably the most used and every manufacturer makes good ammo and/or bullets.

Gun Control works. It just take plenty of practice....It's also important to properly match the tool to the job. Sometimes a Beretta Bobcat might suffice, rather than a firearm too big to handle.

repeat the steps until the sunuvabitz falls down. Heart shot, or failing that, a head shot. If neither is possible or practical, then a wound sufficient to disable either the opponentâs ability to fire back at you, or damage his capability to crawl away. That's a lot to remember. Just keep firing until the assailant changes shape.

I have a friend whose 20-something daughter is a police officer in England. My friend is glad her daughter is unarmed on her job. She doesn’t like guns, thinks they are unsafe, and that Americans are too obsessed with them. I hope she wakes up!
