Apocalyptic scenes as Paris hit by multiple attacks

PARIS (AFP) -

Sirens blaring, blood on the roads, weeping relatives: nightmare scenes played out on the streets of Paris on Friday night as at least 120 people were killed in simultaneous attacks.

Pierre Montfort lives close to a Cambodian restaurant on Rue Bichat, where one of seven attacks took place in a night of bloodshed not seen in decades.

"We heard the sound of guns, 30-second bursts. It was endless. We thought it was fireworks," he said.

Another witness described the scene: "For a moment, we could only see the flames from the gun. We were scared, how did we know he wasn't going to shoot the windows?"

Florence said she arrived by scooter a minute or so after.

"It was surreal, everyone was on the ground. No one was moving inside the Petit Cambodge restaurant and everyone was on the ground in bar Carillon," she said.

"It was very calm -- people didn't understand what was going on. A young girl was being carried in the arms of a young man. She seemed to be dead."

It might — if God doesn’t get you to notice that He means something in any other way.

Utopia meets “Milti-Culti”. My ‘give a damns’ are spent.

Then maybe give a blessings might be opened up.

God wants people to notice that He so loved the world, and if it takes opening the gate for hate to rush in, so the contrast is obvious... He will do it.

France had their many warnings, and not only chose to ignore them, but even upped their naive appeasement and immigration policies.

Sadly, the chickens have come home to roost.

After Charlie Hebdo, I felt real sympathy for France. They knew this was coming and did nothing to stop it.

I just posted the below on another thread you pinged me to, and am posting it here because it is appropriate:

Paris and France itself is shut down right now. All people are to stay in their homes (declared state of emergency) and I heard a short time ago on Fox that there are terrorists loose in the city.

This state of emergency gives the police and military the right to enter your home at any time to search it.

People are frightened and afraid to go outside right now and can not get on the streets. The French in cities tend to grocery shop every day or every other day. Most have small refrigerators and it does not hold much and may not have a freezer in the refrigerator, either.

Food is going to be a problem quickly in Paris. With terrorists on the loose, even if the people can go into the street, they will be in danger with every step they take.

I have life essential life insurance by being prepared. Those poor people in Paris do not have that and I am sorry they are in that fix.

I hope the terrorists do not attack our country in the same way, or worse, but I do think it is coming here at some time.

At some point, the Europeans have to demonstrate that they are not fools.

I’m waiting.

They thought they could even tame the savage breast with worldly urbaneness. Won’t work, which is obvious to us.

We have kind of the opposite problem. We think we are such tuff stuff of our own accord, we would by very nature unite and mow the Moose down.

Well as they say, there are few atheists in foxholes.

Very common for most Europeans to shop for their dinner every day.

“Will the French surrender by morning?”

Probably so. And then they’ll wait for the Americans to come save them.

Paris badly needs militias at this point, but the main folks with guns there right now are... guess who.
