The outsiders are still leading the pack in Rasmussen Reportsâ latest look at the Republican presidential primary race following Tuesday nightâs debate.
Our latest national telephone survey of Likely Republican Primary Voters shows Donald Trump with 27% support. Twenty percent (20%) say they would vote for Dr. Ben Carson if the GOP presidential primary were held in their state today.
Senator Marco Rubio of Florida picks up 16% of the vote, while 13% prefer Senator Ted Cruz of Texas. Eight percent (8%) say they would vote for former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, while support for ex-Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina has fallen back to four percent (4%). Seven percent (7%) say they would choose one of the other candidates in the race. Five percent (5%) are undecided.

Only 5% undecided?
Trump’s lead may shrink or vanish after what some are calling ‘his Dr. Ben Meltdown’ in Iowa.
“Trumpâs lead may shrink or vanish after what some are calling âhis Dr. Ben Meltdownâ in Iowa.”
Only as a result of media/poll manipulation.
Or not.
I just don’t see how Cruz isn’t higher in these polls.
I don’t see how Bush is getting 9%. Have his supporters not been watching? He can’t win. His mannerisms are just like his brothers, except his brother actually look like he could kick someones butt. Jeb, not so much.
He can’t recover enough to win the nomination. Let it go.
“Or not” is correct. Trump puts his teflon on one comment at a time. Classic political theory doesn’t always apply to him.
“I just donât see how Cruz isnât higher in these polls.”
I think he and Carson have their numbers purposely switched.
You are right, Jeb is a shitty version of W.
The only way Trump melts down is if he stops being himself, or starts wimping out and walking back his strong statements on immigration. That would be the end of his campaign. Being an aggressive attack dog and going a little over the top is fine with his supporters, which I’m one of.
Now that I think about it, Carly put on her mean face again at the last debate. She didn’t learn from the first debate how she came across as angry. Apparently, she has one mode: Full of facts and delivery with angry face.
“He can’t win”
The Presidency.
But he’s not supposed to win. He’s supposed to lose to Hillary.
He can most certainly be nominated, assuming they don’t follow their own rules, which is how I would bet right now.
Who is this “Some” family people are talking about, and why are they more influential than anyone else.
I see it went up after this last debate. No way it could have. most of us don’t want immigration.
I agree.....since when have these polls so far from election time been nothing but propaganda for the lefts agenda?
Cruz has to be higher.
Don’t panic this is Rasmussen.
So Trump says, "Ya think?" And immediately, that's all they talk about. Again.
Highly likely not.
