I hope the punishment is multiplied for each plane attacked.
What kind of vile scum does this?
Bet I can guess how they vote.

Make this idiot an example and throw the book at him and lock him up.
It will strongly discourage other laser morons.

Idiots
We have even had these type of idiots at youth rodeos, trying to hit the horse in the eye during a run.
Never caught anyone but put a good size crowd to searching.

Was his name Achmed or Mohammed? Not certain about that, though I do know that his middle name is Hussein.

Then, they run to their safe space where they can find healing in the wake of your vicious microaggression.

Way back in 1965 I was in high school, and I lived pretty close to Fort Campbell, Kentucky. While out "camping" one summer weekend, I shined a bright flashlight at a flight of Hueys. All six of those puppies turned around and landed in the field where we were, and troops poured out of each one.
I learned escape and evasion that night. I bet the troops had a ball scaring the living hell out of us.

You can buy these hand-held little lasers for $4-5 dollars in any tourist trap, or even Walmart.
The kids that buy them have no frikken clue how bad these can be on aircrew. Then green ones are especially bad, and the beam diffuses at range, getting much larger.

I’ve never been able to find the green ones that cheap, they were originally designed for astronomical use and I’d love to find one. Last time I checked the green astronomical pointers were over $75. I find red all over the place for $5 or less, no green. The red won’t work for pointing out stars. I’ve used the astronomical type and they are great, when someone wants to know just where that nebula is, the thing will point it out precisely.
I can’t imagine ever pointing one at a person, I’ve had a red one panned across my eyes by accident, it’s not fun. IN an aircraft it’s dangerous, I hope they make an example of this guy and discourage a few other morons. It’s becoming a real problem around airports.
