Can someone explain why he hasn't gained any traction?
Well of course I doubt this poll was taken after his “child molester” diatribe.
But I’m not counting him out nosirree. He has proven more resilient than silly putty.
I really don’t think he could say anything that would alienate him from his base at this point. We shall see.
He also has the fact that the “child molester” speech was late last night and today being Friday he will go into a story snuffing weekend. So he couldn’t have timed it much better either.
Carson is in a nose dive!! 1n one week he plummet’s from 23% to 19!! This will be painful for many to watch.
Trump jumps from 27% to 34%%!! This is huge news. 34!!!!
Go Trump. The people love him so.
Yes, even to a dummy like me it is obvious why Trump does not fade...
People are sick and tired of Illegals flooding the country, and ONLY Trump dares to utter the words [DEPORT ALL ILLEGALS]. No other candidate dares to utter those words, or face a slap down by their rich donors.
H-1B.
Trump will now soar!! Carson has been removed as a factor.
I think it’s the khaki/chino pants.
Businessman Donal Trump is particularly weak among those making $100k or more,"
I really don’t think it’s going to have an impact on Trump. What is the alternative? Carson is not going to gain supporters given all the garbage coming out against him. Jeb and Rubio will not gain supporters because conservatives hate them. So really, the question is do Trump supporters get angry and go to Cruz? Probably not going to happen. Public’s attention is short and by Monday this will have all blown over.
Here are 2 reasons why Cruz is not polling well:
1. Cruz pushing TPP:
2. Cruz pushing legal status for illegals:

I think you’re right. People can argue about how he said it but not what he said. What he said was in Carson’s own words.
So people can say it wasn’t nice. I thought we had already established nice wasn’t going to cut it.
You can say that again. The top 1% have done the best under Obama. They want the gravy train to continue. Trump is standing in their way, because Trump wants to help the middle class, not the top 1%.
Good question. Ted Cruz is one of the best "politician" candidates to come around in quite some time. But there is a real bias this year against career politicians. Many people are sick and tired of politicians and are ready to go with an outsider. We have had this sentiment for quite some time but this is the first election cycle where we actually have a qualified candidate (Trump) who could actually win.
Another thing that Cruz has going against him is that he is too moral and upright. Many Americans these days are turned off by that and they would rather have a president who is flawed in some way. Perhaps an extramarital affair or a past problem that they have overcome (i.e. a drinking problem).
I know GW Bush won a lot of votes because he was a reformed alcoholic. Also, Bill Clinton won a lot of votes due to his womanizing. Ronald Reagan used to be a Democrat to use another example (plus as a bonus, he was divorced).
It might do Ted Cruz a lot of good if he were to tell us about some skeleton that he has in his closet.
I agree it is H-1B, but it looks like
he may revisit his support of increasing H1-B workers.
I hope so.
He also needs to clarify his support for TPP.
Simply really, as smart as he is, as good as he debates, he doesn't come across as very handsome or personable. Something about him kind of creeps some people out. I know this because that's what several people have told me.
He is my #1 choice, so I am not a hater. But bottom line, most people end up making decisions based on "gut" feelings, and Cruz just doesn't excite their guts.
