Sen. Rand Paul had his best night in Tuesday's Republican primary debate, but it won't be enough to alter his fortunes, Charles Krauthammer said tonight on Fox News's Special Report.
"I give him points for courage and candor," Krauthammer said. "I mean his sort of isolationism is not a popular strain, but he went with it."
Nonetheless, "I don't think anybody really changes his or her fortunes."Instead, he predicted how things will shake out from here: "If you look at the stage, you saw the two wings, you had Rand Paul and you had Kasich, who you could just see falling through a trap door. And then you have Carly Fiorina and Jeb, who I think are also rather tentative."
"And then you look in the center and you saw the final four," he continued. Meaning, Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio.

"Krauthammer's Take: Trump, Carson, Cruz, Rubio Will Be GOP's Final Four" It's intelligence and perception of that order that brings 6-figure salaries with it. Or, as the common man might say: "No Sh!t Sherlock."

'Above My Pay Grade'? Meet Mikey.
Mikey? Meet 'Above My Pay Grade'
You two are going to be great friends I'm sure.
Meanwhile, this is for you 'AMPG', and have a nice day.
Oh Mikey? Tell AMPG about how Trump hypnotizes people just like Hitler used to do, which is why you don't watch TV, ok?
(AMPG? You're gonna dig it!)

Get rid of the amnesty twins (Rubio and Carson) and bring on the final two.

I am for Cruz, despite the polls.
ME TOO!!!!!!!!!!
As a matter of fact, I too am for Cruz, and I'm hoping that he will begin gaining some major traction here, however the man to beat for the nomination at this point is Donald Trump and that is because he has the momentum, the support, and he is beholden to no one, and for those who question his conservative credentials, I point you not only to former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin who said "thank God he's running", but to Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions, who is nobody's fool and supports Trump, AND to former Congressman Virgil Goode of Virginia, a constitutional conservative second to none, who has come out to endorse Donald Trump.
Now if you can demonstrate how those three notable conservatives have taken leave of their senses, you'll be doing everyone an immense public service.
Meanwhile, before Ted Cruz was even in the Senate, I was supporting California Congressman Duncan Hunter Sr in HIS ill-fated campaign for the White House, and I still maintain that Duncan Hunter would have been the greatest President since Ronald Reagan, second to none.
Unfortunately, he didn't gain traction, which is the make or break issue for any candidate.

Is this some kind of basketball thread?
To: Jim Robinson
Yes, you & I would go to those two immediately. It is a shame that the rest of the electorate is SO uneducated.

I think it's still Trump's to lose, but Cruz is looking more impressive (finally).
Rubio scares the crap out of me, he's going to be the GOPE money guy now that Jeb and Kasich hve failed so miserably.

maybe the same person, or at least a previous mind meld. Robots are like that.

Yes the semi final four are Trump, Cruz, Rubio and Carson but the final two IMO will likely shake out Trump and Cruz. I just don’t see Rubio getting past a distant third.
