Billionaire 2016 GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump waded into coffee giant Starbucks' alleged war on Christmas Monday when he suggested a boycott of the company over its controversial red holiday cups, but the company says there is no war.
"Did you read about Starbucks?" Trump asked a crowd of about 10,200 during a rally at a convention center in Springfield, Illinois, on Monday evening.
"No more 'Merry Christmas' at Starbucks. No more," he said as the crowd booed disapprovingly at his comments. "I wouldn't buy. Hey look, I'm speaking against myself. I have one of the most successful Starbucks in Trump Tower," he continued. "Maybe we should boycott Starbucks, I don't know. Seriously," he added to cheers. "I don't care. By the way: That's the end of that lease. But who cares? Who cares? Who cares?!"
Trump then hit the crowd with this promise: "If I become president, we're all going to be saying 'Merry Christmas' again. That I can tell you. That I can tell you! Unbelievable."

I like both tickets!
Go Trump! Go Trump!
Methinks if Trump is the nominee, the moderators will be balanced or there will be no debates.
The best coffee is made in percolators-IMHO. “Drips” are quicker, much more convenient.
It’s part of his let’s make a deal schtick. He thinks he’s romancing the Christians. Christians on the stature of most pastors would say thank you Donald but please concentrate on what matters on the national scene, and these red cups are not it.
Yep..
Pathetic.
Trump should listen to Sarah Palin - this whole Starbucks cup nonsense is a ruse, a trap to make conservatives look like loons. And of course Donald blundered right into it.
And he wants us to believe that he’d cancel a lease over it? The man is either a pathological liar or emotionally unstable.
Listen to Sarah, please. Eyes on the prize.
Just to be thought of at all in some vaguely favorable way, is quite frankly a surprising grace of God in the current situation. I’ll take Donald’s clumsy love over the studied disdain of many of the others. Cruz is positioned in principle to do better, but the devil is in the details, sometimes brethren don’t get along that well.
I never patronize Starbucks, I think their coffee stinks!
he is running the country
i hope your daughter is 2 years old
He still has a superficial idea of what it means to be Christian.>>>
I don’t know that but he is fighting the fight. Trump actually said obama is waging a war on Christians. no other candidate has said that. but cruz has says some hard stuff about the iran agreement.
“Since 1997, we have served our holiday beverages in a unique red cup, each year and each design telling a different story. Starbucks is inviting our customers to tell their Christmas stories in their own way, with a red cup that mimics a blank canvas,” said the statement.
Oh, I’ll be sure and tell Starbucks MY Christmas story......
I wonder what the source of that image, I did notice it was on Weird Al’s facebook page earlier.
I'm sorry, the whole red cup issue is pretty silly to begin with. Starbucks is denying Christmas? Right, those ornaments they're selling are for menorahs. The advent calendars are to count the days of Kwanzaa. The Christmas gift cards are for, umm, Solstice! Yeah, that's the ticket!
Someone wants to attack Starbucks, how about attacking their asking gun owners to leave themselves unprotected while on Starbucks property? I mean, honestly, it is a hipster free wifi hotspot and by the cup office space.
Just ignore the modern art interpretations of Christmas trees they have in their stores.
Starbucks is way too expensive, the more they earn to spend in liberal crap.
I love Trump but they do have Christmas products to be fair
No question they are very PC though
Me either
They along with Amazon are big libs
Costco too
Wish we could replace GOOGLE AND wiki
Disparaging Christmas is never a small issue. Once spirituality leaves your head, you become an empty shell. And I speak as a Hindu who respects Christianity. That is why I married a Christian woman.
I talked my daughter (2nd year law student) into percolating her own coffee instead of patronizing Starbucks, and she can hardly believe she now has extra $100 to spend every month!
