Bush said in his audio diary before his 1988 presidential campaign that Americans "didn't want same-sex marriage codified," according to The New York Times. But after he served as an official witness at a 2013 same-sex wedding, he sent his biographer, Jon Meacham, a note to clarify that his views had changed....

Gee, some of the American people must actually like traitors; to paraphrase the late Senator Roman L. Hruska, R-NE, “even traitors need a little representation too.”

During the upcoming election it is VERY IMPORTANT that the wives of the candidates are vetted. A woman has great influence over her husband in all areas. Laura Bush supported abortion and homosexual unions.

So many, particularly in TX and FL, though, still believe in bushes.

The guy is really up there in age. He’s obviously wrong, but I’m not going to capitalize on it to trash him.
It would be best if he simply faded away. Evidently he isn’t going to be satisfied with the best option.
That’s unfortunate.

I suspect that this latest liberalism represents GHWBâs views for many years now. This. You can take the man out of Upper Class Limousine Liberal Rockefeller wing Connecticut, but you can't take the Upper Class Limousine Liberal Rockefeller wing Connecticut out of the man.

He is a politician. I say that not as a compliment. He hates to be seen as taking the uncool side of any issue. The only thing he ever did right was to nominate Clarence Thomas. After seeing what he has done during his career, I now think he did even this for the wrong reasons.

During the upcoming election it is VERY IMPORTANT that the wives of the candidates are vetted. A woman has great influence over her husband in all areas. Laura Bush supported abortion and homosexual unions. A fact which would have KILLED his chances in the Republican Primary had it become widely known. But of course, those Bushes must always be about the deception when they are seeking power, because if people knew what they really believed, they wouldn't get support from the sane end of the political spectrum.

When the real power in the family is female there will be a change in perspective. One can even have such as Clinton as part of the family.

He's always felt that way, it's just now he's too old to care anymore about what people think....same thing happened to Goldwater in his latter years.
He's in his 90s. Nobody supported gay marriage for most of his lifetime.
Bush certainly didn't. Neither did Goldwater. Gay marriage was at most a joke until about 20 years ago.
But I get it. It's all about the emotional response, not about what may be factually true.
