This undated image was found on social media. Can anyone verify its authenticity? Seems as though the military academy at West Point at least USED the term "scholarship" in its advertising if not in their formal paperwork.

Actually, I have a brother who graduated from West Point.
We talk often about his experience at West Point.
Dude. This is the worst photoshop I have ever seen.
This one is not photoshopped. Why the hell did someone bother to photoshop this original into that mess?
Read the thread, Laz.
You learned THAT lesson a decade and a half ago.

LOL!
I have first hand knowledge of the process, but anyone, including a corrupt journalists can know about the process. Certainly your brother knows how it works when rising stars are recruited even if he was not.
It happens in college academics and athletics pretty regularly that coaches will tell kids that they’re interested in them. In our family just this last year, a graduating member had 3 full informal offers on the table.
Coaches do have a certain number of scholarships to recruit the players they want. That is true in my experience as well. By including so many puff stories, assertions that are designed to make him look special but are not really documented, Carson left himself open to people doubting and trying to checkup.
I think if he did not have strong associations with Sharpton, a close associate tied to Louis Farrakhan and a history of agreeing with their positions. I might not have been so suspicious. Add his statements about mandatory vaccinations (think Guardasil and the myriad of useless flu vaccine years where the strains are mismatched), minimum wage increases capped to inflation (guaranteeing that inflation continues), statements that its unfair to deport illegals, his support for Government Heathcare( but his way which would be so much better..sarc), pyramids, Mannatech and his misrepresentations of that relationship which included millions of $ to his charity and hundreds of thousands personally plus his strange views on International relations and I am looking at him with a very jaundiced eye. I listen very carefully and there are warning signs that he wants to control rather than empower free enterprise.
So I am ready to examine things he claims as are others for these or their own reasons. That after all is what the process is about. Trust but verify has left him wanting in my book and though any one story may be true the aggregate leaves me very cold. I believe that the publicity of this process may be his end game, ensuring a market for books and lectures going forward.
Kyle D. Cheney of Politico is not even aware that West Point offers Scholarships.
Attending West Point is free based on a scholarship from the Army.

What was done to Carson last week was deceitful. I think he’s wrong to stand by the pyramid/grain thing, and I don’t trust his guns position, and the Sharpton thing worries me, but when I see someone being lied about, I’m going to stand up for them through that. It now turns out that West Point DOES offer scholarships.
