Cruz will end up on the top of the ticket.

I don’t know if Trump is the one to question anyone’s honesty. I’m still waiting for the report the private detectives he sent to Hawaii to get the scoop on Obama’s birth certificate. The ones he said, “could not believe what they were finding.”

I don’t agree. Carson and his campaign staff is self destructing. It would be easy to swat away the West Point and pyramid stories but they did not do it. They are doing themselves in.

LOL, that is too funny the GOPe will take Cruz over Trump in a New York second. Cruz is a team (GOP) player, yes he is the bad boy on the team but he is on the team as his TPA and Patriot Act votes demonstrate. Cruz can be relied on to give the Chamber of (Cheap Labor) Commerce some form of amnesty. Trump on the order hand no so much.

Trump is winning and doesn’t need to have Cruz as insurance.

Trump is attacking Cruz because Cruz is in second place, and Trump intends to win this race.

Trump would attack Mother Teresa if she was in second place. He’d say that she is a wonderful woman but has no experience and would be a yuge disaster as president.

I’m not sure of the Cruz angle. I’m also not sure Trump had anything to do with exposing Carson’s lie about West Point. I’ll not shed any tears if Carson drops out. I found his poll numbers disturbing, because I was unaware that there were so many people in the gop who suffer from “white guilt syndrome” that they were willing to overlook Carson’s support for amnesty, gun control, and his stated alignment with Al Sharpton.

Turns out the liar is Politico not Carson. Another embarrassing accusation for you to retract.

At the end of my twelfth grade I marched at the head of the Memorial Day parade. I felt so proud, my chest bursting with ribbons and braids of every kind. To make it more wonderful, We had important visitors that day. Two soldiers who had won the Congressional Medal of Honor in Viet Nam were present. More exciting to me, General William Westmoreland (very prominent in the Viet Nam war) attended with an impressive entourage. Afterward, Sgt. Hunt introduced me to General Westmoreland, and I had dinner with him and the Congressional Medal winners. Later I was offered a full scholarship to West Point. I didn’t refuse the scholarship outright, but I let them know that a military career wasn’t where I saw myself going.

Hey, you don’t suppose Donald’s hand is on the invisible sword that’s hacking Carson to pieces right now, do you? Trump didn’t get rich by wasting money unnecessarily: hoisting Carson on his own petard and letting the media crucify him for free is WAY cheaper than paying for a bunch of TV ads.

BTW, it’s pretty clear the Democrat Super-PAC media were building up Carson and Fiorina as GOP heroes, hoping they’d be juicy targets down the road to chop to pieces like they did with Herman Caine, etc. Looks like Trump is beating them to the punch before media-heroes Carson and Fiorina could do much damage to the GOP with their lies and wackiness.

The traditional weapons of the GOPe against a Conservative are 1) chasing the donors away and 2) chasing the voters away.

Trump isn’t afraid of the donors, so that weapon is useless.

The voters seem to be willing to overlook Trump’s problems because he is the natural enemy of Progressives of BOTH parties.

They turned on Carson this week because the Progressives of both parties need to maintain the appearance that Republicans hate blacks. Blacks are the designated plantation voter for the Democrat Progressives and Evangelicals are the designated plantation voter for the Republican Progressives. They don’t want blacks and evangelicals taking a look at the other side.

When Cruz is #2, they will come after him with their knives out.

While I agree that Cruz has always been the defacto number 2 man in the race, I think he should be number 1.

This nonsense about a trump-Cruz ticket just irritates me to no end...LOL

I’ve thought all along Trump and Cruz were a tag-team.

Eight years of Trump as President and Cruz as VP followed by eight years of Cruz as President works for me.

I'm sure that Donald's guys offered Dr. Ben Carson a juicy Cabinet position, if he would drop-out of the race ..

That sort of offer is utterly illegal. Trump is too smart to open himself up to that kind of exposure. Also, Politico is the rpeferred tool of the GOPe, and is hated by Trump. An unlikely alliance.

I have no doubt Trump would like to see Cruz running second to him as Cruz has little chance to close the gap between now and Feb 2nd. And it may well be that Trump does want Cruz for VP or AG. Either one fine by me. I want to see the rest of them gone ASAP. Trump needs to wrap this nomination up and get ready to steamroll Hillary.
