Ben Carson, the retired neurosurgeon and Republican presidential candidate, suggested in an interview Thursday that the U.S. should have bathrooms specifically for people who are transgender.
Carson was responding to questions about a recent ordinance in Houston that would have established nondiscrimination protections for gay and transgender people. Voters rejected the ordinance after an 18-month battle in which opponents argued that allowing transgender men and women to use their preferred public bathrooms would open the door to sexual predators who wanted to enter women's restrooms.
Carson's response: "How about we have a transgender bathroom?"
"It is not fair for them to make everybody else uncomfortable," he said. "It's one of the things that I don't particularly like about the [LGBT] movement. I think everybody has equal rights, but I'm not sure that anybody should have extra rights--extra rights when it comes to redefining everything for everybody else and imposing your view on everybody else."

Too late. He needed coaching LONG before he tossed his hat in the ring. He is clearly not presidential material.
Seems that your definition of “clearly” and mine are very different.
The solution is obvious — Democrat and Non-Democrat washrooms. Problem solved.
This special (and expensive) accomodation dictated by fedzilla started decades ago. 25 years ago, when our kids were in our little town’s parent volunteer preschool, a family with a handicapped child DEMANDED we add a wheelchair ramp for her. It wasn’t good enough to carry her up the four steps into the building. No, that simply wouldn’t do.
I think the ADA compliant ramp cost $10k or $15k.
A couple days before the new term started, they pulled their daughter out of our school. To this day, I doubt the ramp has ever had a wheelchair on it.
Clearly that is so.
“How about having the federal government stay the hell out of dictating bathroom arrangements?”
Exactly.
In Europe, a lot of the bathrooms are stalls with full doors/walls and common sink area (like at restaurants, etc.).
That means a female can walk into a stall that a man just used/vice versa.
I’ve noticed this at a few places in NYC, as well.
This, coming from supposedly a surgeon.
There is no such thing as a transgender; only mutilated cross-dressing homosexuals.
Kiss his popularity goodbye.
It was funny considering Carson’s comments.
No kiddin’.
Isn’t it better than 4 bathrooms. Family makes the most sense since the person doesn’t know what sex they are.
So to be clear here, you advocate sticking people with a sexual mental issue into family rest rooms as a lesser evil. Because you support the idea forwarded by the homosexual lobby that a man cannot identify his penis or a woman her vagina.
Before I go down your throat on this I want you to verify that yes, this is indeed what you just said on a conservative forum. Of your own free will. So that I have no remorse and a reduced chance of lightning in my life.
Funny and scary!
Men, Women, Freaks
amen
The “family bathroom” is for parents who need to watch over their kids who are of the opposite sex, like dads with girls or moms with boys and for changing diapers.
The thought of these deranged paraphiliacs invading that space horrifies me.
They should have their own bathroom with “FREAKS” on the door.
B-12 deficiency explains a *lot*.
He’s clean and articulate...
