OTTAWAâPrime Minister Justin Trudeau unveiled his diverse, gender-equal cabinet to the country by strolling to Rideau Hall with his family and ministers amid waves of applause from thousands of Canadians.
Trudeau's cabinet is the first in Canadian history with equal numbers of men and women, the first ever Muslim minister, the first aboriginal justice minister, and the first northern fisheries minister, an Inuit who wore a sealskin tie to take his oath.
Flanked later outside by his 30 ministers, a buoyant Trudeau addressed a throng of about 3,500 people as Canada's 23rd prime minister.
He said it was an "incredible pleasure . . . to present a cabinet that looks like Canada." Asked by reporters why it was important to give half those jobs to women, Trudeau replied: "Because it is 2015."

Well, I’m all for diversity. One doctor in a mental asylum and eleven lunatics and everybody gets a vote. What could possibly go wrong?
How many different types of bathroom will be required?
The simpering, fawning lovefest put on by all 3 networks up here was nauseating. Peter Mansbridge earned the nickname “Boots” he was so far up the liberals’... you know.
I couldn’t watch more than 3 minutes of the “reporting”, which was more like a pep rally for the libs than a news item.
:-)
Not good.
He picked kumbaya over competence. Reality will take note of that.
Trudeau is like the Canadian Andrew Cuomo. Multi-generational corruptnik/apparatchik.
Uh...exactly is involved in a “touching ceremony”?
What if you’re not sufficiently diverse to WANT to be touched?
There is an uncanny coincidence here. This is of the massive juggernaut that is the MSM in both USA and Canada. It indicates certain forces have gained control.
Two men, one the President of the United States, the other the Prime Minister of Canada. The two main factors in my opinion that have destroyed or sharply set back powerful politicians. They are (1) Financial dealings that are illegal. (2) Dalliance with women while married.
Both George W. Bush and Stephen Harper were squeaky clean regarding these two entities. Included in that are certain persons in power abused their underlings. I know of no such complaints re the two men.
Yet both took the full brunt of what I would called thinly disguised hatred. The constant nit picking in the media. Something smells with the MSM.

Whoops! Sorry my bad. Double post.
Trump might start thinking about how Canada pays for the second wall.
Any non-socialists in his cabinet? It’s probably similar to what “diversity” was like when I went to college. They panic over the lack of transgendered hispanic Muslim paraplegic professors, but see no problems with having a 100% hard left faculty on staff. Apparently “diversity” does not extend to ideology.
LOL
Well, there was a lot of hugging going on.
What’s up with those red rosettes a couple people are wearing in the picture? The guy in the video in post 15 is wearing one too.
Ah those are actually poppies for Armistice Day. Common for old British Empire/Commonwealth nations around Nov 11.
Sending Harper to the showers was A#1 on George Soros’ To-Do List. Mission Accomplished.
I read the list and quite a list it was. The veteran Liberal politician Ralph Goodale of Saskatchewan was put in charge of a “Public Safety” portfolio to deal with C-51 (Canada’s “Patriot Act”). We’ll see what he does?
Former Liberal leader Stephan Dion is the Foreign Minister.
You saw Sikhs in this cabinet and the Sikhs are an important voting block in Canada.
Ah, cool.
