Thanks for the URL list! I'm doing much the same -- except, I'm "harvesting" photos. (It's how amazing how informative several photos of the same object taken from different viewpoints [including "before" photos] can be...)

I'm pretty sure that I have the mode of airframe failure nailed. It fits with the debris character and distribution and all available transponder data -- and it narrows down to only a couple of mechanisms of failure.

Would you believe that they have already fenced off with barbed wire what I ID'd early on as the most critical piece of evidence! (Nothing like independent confirmation, eh!) '-)

AdmSmith posted info about how the plane had (a few years back) damaged its tail section on a runway bump at landing, and that the tail was off the plane during terminal descent. But, we’ll see.
