REP. JIM JORDAN SUGGESTS FOREIGN WORKERS NEEDED BECAUSE TOO MANY AMERICANS ON DRUGS
Breitbart ^ | November 2, 2015 | Julia Hahn

Posted on 11/02/2015 6:44:49 AM PST by C19fan

On The Laura Ingraham Show, House Freedom Caucus Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) refused to say whether he supports curbing immigration levels. Jordan cited concerns of employers that the United States may need more workers because too many Americans are on drugs.

“I hear from all kinds of employers, they say they can’t find people to work,” Jordan said, “And one of the reasons they cite… is that there’s a number of people who can’t pass the drug screen.”

We pay $14/hr for entry-level manufacturing work. $14.90 at the end of 1st year.

Not enough apparently. High turnover is more expensive than increasing starting pay.

This is, interestingly, quite feasible and reasonable.

I am not sure it is a legal basis for H1-B hires.

About in regards to this:

“Completely agree. Although Trump is running on conservative issues, people will still say he in not a “true” conservative.
If his issues don’t win, conservatism is dead, along with the country.”

That is a wonderful idea. Now how can we get it passed?

Well, maybe the CIA and DEA should stop shipping them in. The correlation between Afghan opium production and US opioid use is no coincidence.

I do see some of that where I work. We can find a good person to hire, but after we tell them to pee in a cup, we never see them again. Some people don't even bother to apply. They get more money from welfare, so why work for just above minimum? Pay more then you will get a better quality of candidate. This isn't rock surgery.

I would refuse to "pee into a cup" - for political reasons (i.e., because I view it as an infringement of my right to privacy), and because I regard it as undignified - not because I feared any revelation of drug-use. I would instead look for a different job - one for which "peeing into a cup" was not a prerequisite.

The refusal to participate in such an undignified procedure is not necessarily a question of "quality."

Regards,

Talking about drug crazed losers, Jebbie comes to mind. Didn’t he help daddy, who he loves sooo much, haul tons of dope into our country?

I have never had a problem peeing in a cup. My only concern is false positive if the samples get mixed up.

I read every post, and I find it rather amazing that there are so many people here praising the virtue of Fascism. If so many wish to embrace fascism, then maybe we should go ALL THE WAY with the drug testing bit. How About ALL MOOD Altering or Performance Enhancing “Drugs”? Yes that would mean Coffee, Alcohol,Aspirin,Tylenol, Chocolate,....

Or is Fascism acceptable only for the
“Drugs” that GOD Made and the ones that can not be patented because of their Natural Occurrence on Earth??

One reason why people are unwilling to be “tough” in that manner is because the fate of others (family) who did not abuse and were not in a position to be held guilty of laziness will be involved.

Generally, participation in a substance abuse recovery plan is required in states that have gone down this road. Some states have dropped it later due to finding the program financial costs are higher.

I am still in the woods with your posts.

Lots of people think the country is lost if Trump doesn’t succeed; that is why Trump is drawing large crowds wherever he goes.

"Time to start making Congressmen pass a drug test given on a weekly basis."

Their drug is power, and almost all of them test positive for it.

I would agree with those who would say (if they were politically brave enough) that there should be NO H1B Visas until the messes with invaders in the US and there being plenty of workers to fill those jobs.

Jordan represents towns which are just south of the east side of Cleveland, most of which have avoided the spread of chaos. The heroin epidemic is substantial. (crazy gerrymandering, I'm less than a half mile from his district) People around here need to be warned the day before the vote that the law is so poorly written that it will make drug problems even worse. It's an OH kind of problem. Connected big businesses will get a monopoly and massive profits, while the "little folk" deal with the consequences.

They’re finding Trump, faults and all, to be the most significant voice for what they know matters.

If this continues, we will almost surely be looking at a President Trump. It will be interesting to see what happens when the dog actually catches the car. Hope he follows through, or at least makes his level best effort to do that. Washington can be lethally bewitching.

Once you hit 40, good jobs are hard to find. Just went through it with my eldest, he’s 43, been in management for 20 years or more. He shows up, he works hard, turns stores around, and all of a sudden they want some one with a college degree or one that will work cheaper. He doesn’t get into the PC stuff, if you don’t do your job he cuts your hours until you look for another job. If higher ups hire with out doing back ground drug checks or jail time, he will find out fairly soon, and he will cut hours till you quit. Saves the hassle of all the PC crap that way. And if you can’t speak good English, he will not hire you, there are ways around all that PC crap.

My brother in law was a manager at Forcia and he said they were CONSTANTLY having problems with assembly line guys who were high. He said they routinely failed the drug screens.

Do you think whatever the rate of drug abuse for Americans is - it is going to change for immigrants? Somehow, magically, immigrants are going to be more resistant to temptation than Americans are? How does that work? Has the gov't gotten into the character business and now is able to figure out who has good character and who doesn't?

And by the way, people who apply for green cards or to become citizens don't get tested for drugs.

I frankly don’t doubt for a minute that the American populace has pretty much degraded to the point where it’s primarily comprised of worthless, doped-up human trash.

That still doesn’t mean I want the borders open to an invasion of third-world foreigners, destroying what little is left of the country.

The problem is crystal clear.

These folks live in their ivory towers and never come down to Realville.

Stop importing cheap labor, means test for welfare and see how many folks stop taking drugs...and actually begin to work for a living.

Just got home from work and read the headline. I’ll respond more fully tomorrow once I read everything.

It’s true.

Employers have a very hard time finding people who can pass a drug test. This is a large segment of the unemployed, btw. The welfare system allows them to continue to operate, however. A sane system would disqualify folks who can’t pass a drug test from collecting any welfare (including food stamps) at all.

Btw, the drug tests are not for measuring “impairment” — not at all. They are measured for the possibility of theft, used to identify those prospective employees who would be candidates of stealing money or property from the company.

It is a well known fact that drug users are often thieves (to feed their habit) as well.
