Important update:

THAT. WAS. FREAKING. AWESOME!

We had three hours flight time total so with four shooters we each got 1 1/2 hrs trigger time. The helicopter flight alone was a gas! Add an AR and a pouch with about ten 30 RD mags, it's the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

We hunted a 30,000 acre ranch about a hour and a half NE of Abilene, saw probably 50/60 deer, 40/50 turkeys plus lots of pigs and coyotes. Had EOtech red dot sights on DPMS AR's. Will post a link to the video when we get it.

Total carnage was 27 pigs and 23 coyotes hammered.

Seriously crazy - coyotes running like Barry Sanders through the brush and trees, copter juking and jiving, lots of lead flying! That hour and a half seemed like ten minutes.

Highly recommended!

Sounds like fun. My rabbit hunts are more stealthy. I would walk through a deeply eroded crevice in the canyon and pick the cottontails off with a Benjamin .22 pellet rifle. Adequate for food and pelts. Not nearly as exciting as your trip.

What a hoot! 27 pigs and 23 coyotes? Can’t wait for the video.

Have a blessed Easter.

Have a safe trip to MDA, we’ll continue prayers.
