Somehow, I doubt that Bibi gives a rat's ass what the "Syrian government" thinks or wants. Let's see what Putin can do about it if Israel goes in and bombs some artillery sites that shelled them - because Israel's Air Force has kicked Russian ass many times before (you didn't REALLY think that the Syrians were capable of flying, or even ALLOWED to fly, the best stuff in the Soviet arsenal in 1982, when Israel shot down 79 in one day without losing a single plane of their own, do you?).

CNBC just reported on a Reuters story that the Obama Administration was about to announce the deployment of US special forces to Syria to fight ISIS. I wonder if that is the case or are they going to help the alleged moderate rebels to fight Assad and Russia? We could quickly get to Russian planes bombing US forces.
I guess if you are going to join a civil war, you can join the legitimate government (whether you like it or not, Assad is the legit government.)
Or you can join the rebels against the legitimate government. Whether they are good or bad.
We have done it a few times.
What would we have said and done if the other side took up arms against our guys?

Obama has given every military advantage we had in the middle east. 40-50 years and trillions upon trillions upon trillions have been poured into that area and it has all come to waste. Our current and ex-prez Jimmy Carter have jumped on the muzzie bandwagon and hundreds to thousands of US military people gave their lives over there, for nothing it seems.
