George Will said on "Special Report" tonight that after Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz, Chris Christie was the big winner at the third GOP debate.
Will said that Christie is a great natural political talent, with a forceful presence.
"You can imagine him on the stage with Hillary Clinton," Will asserted.
"And he might have something that appeals to 'Trumpkins' around the country, without being quite unhinged."
Charles Krauthammer remarked that he loves the idea of Christie being "Trump Lite."
"You like Trump, but you want a polite version? Go to Christie," Krauthammer said. "It could be a campaign slogan."

Lately Krauthammer has seemed more and more like a CNBC type.
Christie?
I don't like either one (if you do, that's fine w me.)
My strong suspicion is that both are far more "progressive" than their debate rhetoric might belie, and that neither would have a better chance at defeating old-what's-her-name than would Ted Cruz.
Senator Cruz is a better debater, a better statesman, and easily smarter than are Mssrs Trump and Christie. (I'm not saying that Trump and Christie are stupid; they are both fairly smart dudes.)
Don't agree? That's okay, we're still on the same team, ultimately.

I couldn't begin to say who was more polite, but they're both very different from people who come from other parts of the country.
Bret Baer and his entire panel were close to being as bad as the CNBC turds last night. And as far as FNC “clucking” that CNBC was bad, they need to look in the mirror!
I started to listen, but turned them off. Now it’s going to be a two way race between Rubio and Cruz. Same ol’ same ol’ from the Trump deniers.

I was proud of Christie but I just can’t get that picture of him putting his arm around the head of the executive branch after the hurricane out of my head.

they are beyond their sell by date for sure, but frankly, I thought this was a bit of a funny bit....and not altogether bizarre.
Sounds like they would rather have Hillary as President than Trump.
