Glenn Beck Describes the Unique and Impressive Skill Ted Cruz Possesses, but Is Not Comfortable..

Glenn Beck said Wednesday he believes 2016 hopeful Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-Texas) self-described “audiographic memory” would be a “massive plus” in a president.

Beck said Cruz remembers anything as long as it’s been said to him out loud because it “imprints on him an audio file.”

“To be able to sit down — if you could just watch all the tapes of Vladimir Putin, nobody is getting around him,” Beck said. “You’re sitting down, ‘Actually, no, that’s not what you said.’ Yes it is. ‘No it’s not.’ … To have someone with a photographic or, in [Cruz’s] case, audiographic memory is a massive plus.”

Cruz is able to remember conversations verbatim, according to Beck. Though the skill has proven helpful in the Senate and on the campaign trail, Beck recalled Cruz telling him that he feels like “everybody is going to think I’m a robot.”

However, Cruz’s memory may have been what gave the senator the ability to call out Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) over the Import-Export Bank reauthorization.

“That’s why he could rattle off word-for-word what Mitch McConnell said to him,” Beck co-host Pat Gray said. “And that’s why nobody disputed him. Because they know he’s right.”

“Correct,” Beck replied.

Beck said Cruz doesn’t discuss his unique skill often because he’s “not comfortable talking about it.” He said he told Cruz his memory skill is not a “cross or a burden,” but that it is a good thing. Gray said he believes the only other president who may have had a similar skill was Thomas Jefferson.

The junior senator has been taking advantage of the talent since high school.

In a 2013 interview with GQ, Cruz said he memorized the Constitution and would travel around Texas reciting it with his friends in a group they formed called the “Constitutional Corroborators.” And of course in the Senate, he drew on his skills during his 21-hour speech against the Affordable Care Act.

Cruz is the most brilliant candidate we have had running for President in my lifetime. Just as important, he has the strongest Conservative principles of any candidate running for President.

I.Q. of 145 and an audiographic memory. WOW!

Beck is really down on Trump and he obviously sees Cruz as a better option.

“Glenn Beck who?”

Any mention of Glenn Beck always brings up someone with a comment like this one. They don’t know what they are missing, and are thus VERY uninformed. (See my tagline.)

Theodore Roosevelt could recite text verbatim that he had read twenty years before. He genuinely had a photographic memory. Love him or hate him but TR was probably the most intelligent, and certainly the most energetic, president. The GOPe of that time, Mark Hanna and the boys from Cleveland, maneuvered him into being McKinley’s VP to get him out of Albany and away from any real levers of power. Sort of what they’re trying to do with Cruz by limiting his speaking time in the debates and casting him as the crazy man Jeremiah of the Senate.

This. Exactly.

Forgive me if this offends anyone, but: when we have a proven, brilliant conservative such as Sen. Cruz, why do people get so ga-ga about Trump (I love his ability to make the liberal establishment—GOP and otherwise—mad, but... come on, now...) and Carson (nice guy, brilliant surgeon, no chance in the world that he’d be a good president—he’s all over the map)?

I enjoy decisive conservative commentary (and smack-downs of liberal elites) as much as anyone... but there’s a big difference between “putting on a show” and “leading (what used to be) the free world”. With a bonafide like Cruz, how can people get so distracted by the “smack-down liberals on political reality TV” stuff? I swear, people have thrown away their brains and let their emotions run their lives (and their choices).

When people give up their reasoned judgment in favor of a gushing, gasping version of, “Oh...! OH!!! He’s saying JUST what I wanted for SO long for SOMEONE to say! What a relief! He has MY vote!”, I really start to despair for my country...

Jefferson has to have been the most intelligent, though Madison and TR come close. Cruz is the one prospective President who would give them all a run for their money.

Of course Beck would think this - Cruz went to the border with him to distributed soccer balls and teddy bears to the illegal invaders. They also share a mutual aide - not sure of the connection, but there is one. It has something to do with Mercury One. I don’t trust Beck’s judgment any more. He has gone off the deep end - calling Sarah Palin a clown - then had to apologize. He never should have said it in the first place. Beck claims to be a Christian (he’s actually a Mormon) but has a deep hatred for Trump. That isn’t very Christian like, IMO. Beck even called Trump’s wife a porn queen. I dismiss anything he says. He needs help.

Well, that’s because there’s an obvious connection, between Cruz and Beck.

Beck’s longtime friend, David Barton, now heads up Cruz’ PAC’s.

Cruz’ dad, Raphael, was one of the marchers, along with Beck, Alveda King and others in Beck’s recent Alabama #AllLivesMatter march.

I also see that Beck and Cruz love to go on The Kelly file, Cruz never stopped going on that show even after Trump’s hissy fits and a number here claimed they would boycott the station FNC.

Then a few weeks later Trump went on FNC again, not on Kelly, but on FNC, Hannity I think.

Eventually Trump did a interview with Chris Wallace totally confusing them.

"Theodore Roosevelt could recite text verbatim that he had read twenty years before. He genuinely had a photographic memory."

The famous preacher Charles Spurgeon was the same way. Someone once challenged him regarding a passage from "The Confessions of Saint Austine" and Spurgeon was able to respond by citing the page number in question and then went on to recite the entire page verbatim. If one reads Spurgeon's sermons they read life finely crafted essays which appear to have taken months to research and draft. In reality, he would repair to his office on Saturday night after dinner, draft a short outline of what he intended to cover and then on Sunday morning he would preach the entire sermon off the top of his head. Absolutely amazing.

That’s an excellent article. I believe hoosiermama may have mentioned, or referred to this article (or another similar one), when describing Trump’s exceptionally high IQ/percentile rating.

Cruz isn’t getting much air time. Trump can command it because he gets higher ratings and is rich and famous.

On the other hand, Cruz is intentionally ignored, most likely because the media fear his talent, but I’m sure his political enemies are showing their influence as well.
