A KTVT-CBS 11 / Dixie Strategies Poll of over 2,000 likely primary voters in Texas shows a pitched battle taking place at the top of the GOP ticket and Clinton dominance on the Democrat side.
Statewide, among likely GOP Primary voters, Dr. Ben Carson and real estate mogul Donald Trump are in a virtual tie at 22.93% and 22.17% respectively. Texas Senator Ted Cruz is the next nearest competitor at 14.27% with former Florida Governor Jeb Bush not too far behind Cruz at 12.65%. All other GOP candidates are polling under 7% with Florida Senator Marco Rubio ahead of former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina (6.57% and 4.57% respectively).

“Trump has been drawing huge crowds while Carson is on a book tour”
Carson was probably given a heads up to go on a book tour.
>>In case you are unaware tonights debate is about economics, Trumps strongest suit. <<
There’s a significant difference between “economics” and crony capitalism. Trump is great at crony capitalism, but he’s all over the field when it comes to economics.
Now he wants to dun the private owners of the Keystone Pipeline if he lets them build it...a negotiating skill learned while dealing with the NY mafia no doubt.
Sometimes it seems like we have more FReepers who are Low Info Voters, than in the general populace : )
He’s more than just pro amnesty
He’s a lot of probbies
>>How could anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together believe these polls showing CARSON equal or better than Trump? It defies logic. This shows the brainwashing isnt just on the liberal RAT side...<<
Oh, there’s some brains being washed, all right....not the ones you think though.
Youre not stupid
Read about Carson
I agree
Not to be picky but : 22.93+22.1+14.27 =59.3 %
If we include Jeb’s 12.65 % that total will be upped to 72%
“...a negotiating skill learned while dealing with the NY mafia no doubt”
You say that like its a bad thing. :-)
>>Sometimes it seems like we have more FReepers who are Low Info Voters, than in the general populace : )<<
I think we probably all agree with that one...
I don’t care at all.
Want Hillary for president? Nominate Carson.
There you go.
Have fun.
Get real.
In Austin and San Antonio, there are pockets of DemocRATS; and they are possibly supporting Carson, so they can take out Trump.
Anybody with a brain could see that coming. Especially since Cruz is from TX.
Trump 14 nationwide yesterday
Trump is still on top where he always was.
They are gaming the polls hoping he’ll do just what you suggest.
He shouldn’t change a thing.
This is smoke and mirrors and if he changes it will be a forced error.
Stay the course. It got him on top, and he’s still there.
Do not believe these idiotic polls.
If Carson went to Texas he couldn’t fill a high school gymnasium. If Trump went there he could probably fill Ranger stadium if he wanted to.
Morning Joe put together an hilarious montage of Trump speaking in Iowa yesterday. Trump, acknowledging his slippage in the polls, chastised the audiences in the funniest ways - my favorite being “If you don’t vote for me, I’m going to stop speaking to you!”
There’s never been a candidate so enjoyable and dare I say it? Loveable!
Coming to you by the same political entities and organizations who told us we must celebrate homosexuality, that terrorist simply need jobs, and millions of illegal aliens are good for America!
59% it is....plus Fiorina....my mistake.
The one constant in all these polls is the presence of CBS as a sponsor.
Anyone who thinks Cruz won’t win Texas by a wide margin is delusional. Conservative Texans love Cruz.
Now that’s one more BS poll. It has Carson and Trump tied among woman, with the IDENTICAL percentage, broken down to the tenths!
ALso has Trump leading among blacks and hispanics. Whoever made up this latest “poll” did a very bad job.
