Ben Carson Immigration Reform: Let Undocumented Immigrants Work On Farms
IBT ^ | 9/16/15 | Michael Kaplan

Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson defended his immigration plan during Wednesday night's Republican debate, but his explanation only got him into further trouble with some voters. Carson supports giving guest-worker status to millions of undocumented immigrants without criminal records.

"After we seal the borders, after we turn off the spigot that dispenses all the goodies...people who had a pristine record we should consider allowing them to become guest workers primarily in the agricultural sphere," Carson said. "If they don't do it within that time period then they become illegal and as illegals they will be treated as such," he said.

Carson said his plan is not amnesty because farmers cannot find American workers, which prompted criticism from some social media users who perceived the remark as suggesting immigrants can only do farm work.

***********************************

I am shaking my head...Carson, of all people should know how this sounds....what were the Blacks doing in America during, before and after the Civil War?

And now he wants to turn the immigrants into ‘farm workers’?

He needs to run out on a rail car, how disgusting....

I don’t believe in illegal immigration, but to say something like this is....You could pay me a million dollars and I would turn it down before I would vote for this hypocrite.....

Just this week I found out that Carson’s faith does not approve of military service in anything but non combatant roles. Pacifism is completely incompatible with being an effective Commander in Chief.
Be careful what you wish for. Heidi Cruz was/is of the same faith.

Heidi Cruz

...Growing up, Cruz visited numerous countries with her father, Peter Nelson, a dentist with a practice in San Luis Obispo; her mother, Suzanne Nelson, a former dental hygienist; and her brother, Scott Nelson, as part of missionary work her parents performed and dental work her father conducted in developing countries. The missions they performed were through the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

“I think those early travels made me expansive in terms of the things I wanted to do,” Cruz said.

I must have missed a week or so in school.

Didn’t we already fight a war to end cheap, agricultural labor by non-citizens?

Ben Carson is an Amnesty Pimp and an Ethanol Pimp. And the Club for Growth advertising are why he is leading the polls in Iowa.

“what were the Blacks doing in America during, before and after the Civil War?”

They are now obsolete farm equipment!

"people who had a pristine record we should consider allowing them to become guest workers

primarily in the agricultural sphere"

Translation: construction, warehouse, hospitality, drivers, etc. Basically status quo.

I would think that someone like Carson, who was raised better would think that other people would be given better options in life....

We have a pResident now that could have done so much for his people and a wife that could have also, but from what I can see, neither one of them did anything to help out...he was to busy playing golf and she was to busy shoveling food down our kids throat that her dog wouldn’t eat AND on vacation all the time on OUR dime....you tell me????

The only labor we really need to import is farm labor. Although we do have a lot of able bodied people on welfare, they are not close to where the crops are. Unless some sort of traveling camp was set up, I don’t think it would work to get the inner city welfare crowd to the fields. It would just be easier and cheaper to have a highly regulated quest agricultural worker program.

Heidi Cruz was raised as an SDA, but she and Ted are now members of a Baptist Church. Last I heard, she was not running for POTUS anyway.

Additionally, Cruz is one of the biggest advocates for the military in Congress.
