Ted Cruz Just Responded To George Bush’s Attack In A Way That No One Saw Coming
western journalism ^ | October 21, 2015 | B. Christopher Agee

According to attendees at a recent fundraiser, George W. Bush is no fan of a fellow Texan currently competing against his brother in the 2016 Republican presidential primary.

“I just don’t like the guy,” Bush reportedly said of Sen. Ted Cruz.

Despite working on Bush’s 2000 presidential campaign, some speculate Cruz angered Bush by becoming too cozy with GOP front-runner – and frequent Jeb Bush critic – Donald Trump.

Cruz has also made an effort to distance himself from George W. Bush’s policies, offering some criticism of his administration during a recent interview.

“It’s not a good thing for a Republican president to grow the national debt from $5 trillion to $10 trillion,” he said, citing such spending as the impetus for the tea party’s formation.

Regarding Bush’s reported comment at his expense, however, Cruz chose to remain gracious instead of escalating the situation. “I have great respect for George W. Bush,” he said, “and was proud to work on his 2000 campaign and in his administration.”

He concluded that it is “no surprise that President Bush is supporting his brother and attacking the candidates he believes pose a threat to his campaign,” though he made it clear he does not intend to respond in kind.

“I met my wife Heidi working on his campaign,” Cruz said, “and so I will always be grateful to him.”

As God in heaven as my witness, I’d do damn near anything for the Trumpster to add Cruz to the Supreme Court.

““I have great respect for George W. Bush,” he said, “and was proud to work on his 2000 campaign and in his administration.” “

So THIS is what makes you people weep with joy?

The only thing Cruz did was invite these people to load up and fire away AGAIN!

Say they dont like you....respond with how much respect you have for him? Seriously?

Why is his such a hard thing for the right to understand? When these people fire at you, you napalm them, and that way they wont pull it again! Not try to be “classy”, as if these people have actual shame enough to feel remorse.

I’d rather see Cruz on the SCOTUS. He’d do a lot more good for a lot longer.

Elect him now for eight years and then follow Taft's example and serve as Chief Justice.

For those familiar with Cruz’s refusal to give in to the Bush administration re; Medellin vs. Texas, it comes as no surprise that W has no use for Ted.

Bush wanted to side with the World Court in overturning the conviction of an illegal alien who participated in the rape and murder of two teenaged girls in Texas.

The girls were raped orally, vaginally, and anally for over an hour. One of the girls had her teeth knocked out; one was strangled to death with a belt, the other with her own shoelaces.

Cruz does have class.

Right now what we need is a tough SOB who cares little about class and gets in there and gets the job done, no matter how much blood is in the air and on the floor.

Agree with U 10000% and Cruz also voted for Obama Iran deal when it needed 60 votes to stay alive and against it when it needed only 51 to pass…..sounds Kerry like to me. Cruz is not what he seem to be….remember lots thought Rubio was with us on border closing but look at him now. Tells US Citizens one thing in english and spanish people another in spanish. Cruz is not the straight talking some thinks he is either.

That ticket would be a wrecking ball. The opposition, whoever they may be, wouldn’t know what hit them.

Trump definitely has his good points.

Not a very good analogy. Trump does seems to be listening for good ideas.

Cruz is still my 1st choice, but the image's summary of the Medellin Supreme Court case is exactly why Cruz is failing and Trump succeeding in reaching so many people.

Cruz should have skipped the legal/political elements, and given the voters what they should and would like to know: the real elements which were as follows:

Mexico filed and won a suit in the World Court to vacate the conviction of 51 Mexican murderers in Texas prisons and GW Bush ordered Texas to comply.

On behalf of Texas, Cruz took it to the Supreme Court, where the Mexican Government, the World Court, GW Bush and 51 convicted Mexican murderers in Texas prisons LOST.

That's why a Cruz supporter is happy that Trump is in the race.

Seriously? There would need to be 100 GOP senators for Cruz to have a chance at confirmation. And even then he would probably lose. They know he’s the real deal.
