Failed GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney lamented that the demise of traditional media is empowering Republican “insurgents” and preventing establishment Republicans from compromising more with Democrats.
As the Republican establishment is trying convince Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) 58% to run for House Speaker, Romney told David Axelrod on a recent “The Axe Files” podcast that the “extremes within our respective parties are having a louder and louder voice and demanding more attention” and “immediate action” as opposed to more “collaborative action.”

“I miss the good old days where news came from ABC, NBC, CBS or the New York Times. Back in those days it was easy to control the message and therefore control what the people thought.”

So in fairness Romney, in his comments, is also calling out the SJWs who are the tail thats wagging the Democratic dog.
And at least on that he’s hitting the target. People need to remember that the Conservative “insurgent” behavior GOPe’ers are decrying is a reaction to the SJW’s dominance of the Democrats that the Dem establishment has fully embraced and the GOPe has proven incapable of countering.
And this is why there was very little enthusiasm for Romney. I knew that if he won, I would be constantly furious with his efforts to compromise with Democrats.
Hello? That's how we got into this mess. Democrats are wrong, and they should not be "compromised" with.

When I see these GOP-e tools, such as Mitt Romney implicitly advocating for the shutdown of free expression on the internet, I wonder if it isn’t a good thing that Obama won. With Romney, there would be NO GOP resistance to GOP liberalism, as opposed to token resistance.
