A new Monmouth University poll shows former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who had been considered the GOP presidential front-runner before entering the race this summer, is continuing to bleed support.
According to the poll, the results were: Donald Trump: 28 percent Ben Carson: 18 percent Ted Cruz: 10 percent Carly Fiorina: 6 percent Marco Rubio: 6 percent Jeb Bush: 5 percent Mike Huckabee: 4 percent Rand Paul: 4 percent Chris Christie: 3 percent Rick Santorum: less than 1 percent George Pataki: less than 1 percent Lindsey Graham: less than 1 percent Bobby Jindal: less than 1 percent John Kasich: less than 1 percent Jim Gilmore: less than 1 percent
The results were mostly unchanged from Monmouth's September poll. Most stayed within 2 percentage points of last month's support, which is within the poll's margin of error.
But Bush has fallen in every Monmouth poll taken since the summer and is now 10 points below his July numbers.

When-—not if-—Trump or someone else goes after Carson on that Sharpton comment, he’s finished. But that may take a while.
It’s right in line with every other poll out there, and kinda low for Trump vis a vis Reuters and Morning Consult, which usually have Trump 5-6 points higher.
I would expect that in poll, with a 4% margin of error, of only those people who are likey to vote in the republican primary, Trump and Cruz would be higher by 4 to 6 points each and Carson would remain about the same. I say this because the supporters of these three candidates seem the most motivated to go to the polls.
.... Which of course .... the only possible and logical conclusion that the GOPe will garner from this and other polls .... is that Jeb is the best possible and qualified candidate for the office of the President.
I’m not sure. At conferences I speak at, there are a lot of Carson supporters among those I’ll call the “highly religious.”
I’d like to see Jebbie fall below Christie’s poll place, and I would feel a little better that he cannot yet steal the nomination. But for now, I’m pretty sure Barbara is still most encouraged.
Most Americans lack the knowledge to explain this quotation. That is part of our problem.
I see very little enthusiasm for a Jeb! poll-voter to actually vote. (It’s “Jeb is who I have been told to like” not “That’s who “I” reallly like!!”)
Trump is a fervent “Screw the media and screw Washington” enthusiasm.
Carson is also a “Screw the media and screw Washington and screw the establishment, “but” this a guy who can do it”
I don’t get where they think Carly is a conservative!
The way things are going, Barbara is just going to have to take over the campaign management slot.
