I have a serious question for the Trump supporters, and I hope they will be able to answer it, at least to themselves. It is a question that every supporter of every candidate should be able to answer if they consider themselves a thinking voter instead of a mindless, drooling sports fan. The question is this:
What, hypothetically, would Trump have to do or say to cause you to stop supporting him?

Your intent CW, is not to have a civil discussion. You post this anti-Trump article, and begin by insulting posters who will likely disagree with you. You “get off” by reading all the emotional responses to you. It makes you feel powerful and reinforces to you that you are the smartest person in the room.

No, I accuse you of not addressing the sourced facts and quotes I posted. So far, you have offered N-O-T-H-I-N-G, except insults.
Trump can explain the issues and what needs to be done well enough for most people to understand. He can rally the people and is the horse you ride if you want good people like Cruz in his administration. He is also the torch to set fire to the worthless POS dead wood of the Republican establishment that has done nothing but collude with Dems to maintain / share power at the expense of everyone else.
That's fine and maybe great in the big picture. But in the medium-sized picture Trump wanted to do something greater with that property. And yes he would benefit the most as with all of his deals.
The way I see the country shaking out is there is a hopeless bottomless pit offered by the Dems and a slippery slope being offered by the GOP. The GOP has not stopped the slide into the pit, but has even greased the slope more with amnesty, medicare drugs, etc. We don't know that Trump won't do some stupid stuff too. But we do know that he will make America great. It's not much and probably means nothing to Vera Coking, but right now that's all I've got.
Unpredictability? That's what you want in a candidate? Wouldn't you rather like to know up front who your candidate really is and what he/she/it stands for?

I support and fund Cruz, personally. I'm trying to see a path to victory but I guess we'll know more come the primaries.
No, just live 15 miles north of Trump Towers west of the Hudson. Anyone in the NYC area cannot avoid observing Trump for the last 35 years, he was front page of the tabloids. When he was fooling around with Marla Maples while married to Ivana was NY Post fodder. If Trump gets elected, and Sarkozy gets back in in France, that state dinner is going to be uncomfortable.

I think that we're in a time that is a lot like '92. And I think people are searching for that person who comes across with something different. Perot did it in '92. Trump is doing it in '16. Does he do better than Perot? That's yet to be seen.
Honestly, I think we more in a time like the late 60's. Not exactly, but similar. We have re-awakened a lot of the social movement issues of that time. But instead of female equality, it's now LBGT. We have a seen a rise in tensions in black communities much like we did in the late 60's and early 70's. They haven't tipped as severely like during that time, but have come close. We've gone from pro-war in the early 2000's to cautiously anti-war today. Not as bad as the 60-70's, but the support for war has severely waned. Recreational drug/pill use seems to be on the rise again. Young people again have began to be on edge.
I really believe that Trump's success at this stage is a bit of a surprise to him as well to many others.
For now, he's not beholden to the usual groups and money that candidates traditionally have to ally with to be in the game. Will someone from one of those groups 3rd party him if he becomes the standard bearer? I thinking primarily social conservatives who could find his social stands of the past repugnant or they support someone more vocally proactive.
