On Tuesdays New Day on CNN, Republican presidential front-runner defended his response aimed at his GOP opponent former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-FL), who had claimed in a debate earlier this month that the country was kept safe under former President George W. Bush.

Bush was a 50% President. I won’t treat him lie a saint.
I heard a pretty good report on that from an expert.
The line was “jet fuel doesn’t burn hot enough to melt steel”. The rest of the story is: Maybe not, but aluminum does, and a jetliner is made with tons of aluminum.
Throw that into the fire.
A lot of people’s eyes have been opened since then, about the Bushes and Republicans in general.
Now I'm curious about the DUmmies' reaction to Trump. Not enough to actually go on that vile site, but definitely a bit curious...
Get back on message Mr Trump. Quit re-enforcing failure.
I thought the same thing when I first heard this. It sounded intemperate. But then I started thinking about our long standing failure to deal with our immigration problems. Its not stupid to question our vulnerability.
There are millions of immigrants in this country and the government has no idea where they are or what they’re up to. I think this is at the heart of Trump’s statements. If effective immigration controls had been in place maybe the 911 terrorists would have been deterred from roaming around the country and making their nefarious plans. We’ll never really know for sure, but we shouldn’t have made it so easy for them to operate.
Trump would probably do a better job of securing our borders and monitoring those who enter the country.
Yes.
“Didnt know trump was a Truther.”
It does sound like that, doesn’t it. The Michael Moore position was that Dubya had also planted explosives in the World Trade Center towers, so that in addition to the damage caused by the airplane collision, the explosives would sufficiently weaken the structure so the collapse was inevitable.
Then there is the Saudi Arabian connection, where members of the Saudi Royals were given safe passage out of the US immediately after the events of 9/11.
“Trump: Clinton is innocent and perfect!!”
A very valid point here.
The record is clear the Clintons, and Jamie Gorelick, are as culpable any anyone else.
An honest discussion of 2001 should include 1993 and the Clinton Presidency.
Just like today ... we all know that because of our unsecured southern border another -- likely even bigger -- attack is coming ... we just don't know when or where.
I'm reluctant to lump Donald Trump in with the "Truthers" who believe the U.S. Government was a party to 9-11 ... that's not what Trump said at all ... it's just an inference by those who want to take down Trump.
Oh boy, this is a TDS’er playground.
Look at ‘em all.
Jeb is already toast in the polls.
Why not move on to the Clinton administration and how they were culpable?
I forgot about OK City. LOTS of unanswered questions there too.
Trump wants this to go to the Clinton years. That is why he keeps going. If Jeb goes after Clinton on this all hell breaks loose.
They new the threat was credible, and Bush did fail to give it the urgent priority that the situation called for.
Well I could have prevented the Titanic from sinking.
Those losers didn’t even use radar.
Some will say Bullpucky!
Others will just nod heads
Remember Bojinca..
And the glidepath the US took
And the Twin Towers taken down.
There wasn’t even a pretense of airport security. Bush could have stepped that up easily.
Trump is the new Ron Paul but he is good for the media
He’s obviously saying they knew it was coming because HE knew it was coming as he called it in his books over a year prior. He’s not just blowing smoke and saying that they were in on it (which is what the conspiracy theorist say)
