You're straight out lying! We have people like Condi Rice coming out and saying that they didn't give enough attention to warnings of imminent terrorist attacks. A request to increase covert action against Al-Qaeda had been open since March, which the Bush administration did not approve until 6 days after 911, for obvious reasons.
It's not a conspiracy to say that the Bush administration knew it was coming. They were warned over and over and over again of a serious, catastrophic attack.

Why do folks have such a hard time understanding what Trump is saying?
He was not saying Bush knew we were going to be attacked on 9-11 in the way we were attacked.
He said we knew something LIKE 9-11 was going to happen, that it was inevitable, and that it required our highest level of concern and attention.
This is not a controversial statement. A mildly well informed person knew this was going to happen, just as a mildly well informed person knows NOW that it is going to happen again in some form or another.
Trump is talking about competence. He is talking about anticipating a problem and doing something effective to address it.
He has said it is not possible to know if additional steps (for example, by addressing immigration both legal and illegal) would have prevented 9-11, but that it might have, and more importantly we need to address the problem now (for example, by addressing immigration both legal and illegal).
I think Rush is wrong about this, and I think Trump is a more subtle thinker than he gets credit for. In that respect, he is a lot like Palin.

Then it's dumber than I thought....then again, maybe you supported McCain running AGAINST BUSH and then again supported MITT RUNNING AGAINST BUSH.....how did those work out? Don't you get it? Bush gets blamed, no Republican, not even one named Trump, can ever win. DUH!

Wrong. They knew an attack was imminent. It wasn't some obscure, little general warning saying "Osama Bin Laden" is a threat. It was "a catastrophic attack is in the works."

20-20 hindsight is always perfect in telling us what we should have known after the fact. And some folks what that to be the ‘true foresight’ and can’t accept the reality that it isn’t.

Yep, it’s primary season and this is when they all distinguish themselves from each other. And yes, Trump will occasionally throw something at Hillary. Still, now that it has come up, it would help his support with PRIMARY voters if he simply said, look, Washington has been largely inept and ineffective for years, BOTH sides. Clinton couldawouldashoulda and did he ? No! He did not. It’s a failed and corrupt system, and I intend to change it. I know how and I will do it.
That wasn’t so hard, right? There are plenty like me who would like to see him hit the left even at this stage.
Define “imminent:” how many minutes, hours, days until the attack was going to happen! And did they know the targets? Unless you can prove they did, then you have an argument that hasn’t been proved to date.
