*holds head* I’m getting a headache here. Let me see if I understand this correctly: The independent senator is running for the Democrat nomination, but the Democrat governor is going to run as an independent? Donald Trump has to sign loyalty oaths, yet others don’t even have to be part of the party they are running for? And those who are part of the party they are running for are thinking of running independent?
Yep, definitely a night for wine.

...definitely a night for wine. Wine, hell. I'm heading for the tequila. The hallucinations have already started just looking at the candidates.

Yep, definitely a night for wine.
You think about wine and an independent run for some two-bit party-surfing Democrat while the souls of a million aborted babies cry out for justice?

It's like whatshisname (Arlen Specter) from Pennsylvania who got primaried by Toomey in 2010 and then ran as a Democrat.
He said something to the effect [I loosely paraphrase with some interpretational license here] that he
".. couldn't let the wishes of his ungrateful rabid conservative constituents destroy all that he had built up as a Senator....."
