Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said Sunday that he would cut funding for the Environmental Protection Agency.
"Environmental Protection," Trump said on Fox News Sunday after host Christ Wallace asked if there were any federal departments he'd cut. "What they do is a disgrace. Every week they come out with new regulations. They're making it impossible."
Wallace then interjected that the EPA's job was to protect the environment.
"We'll be fine with the environment," Trump responded. "We can leave a little bit, but you can't destroy businesses."
Trump also said he would cut funding for the Department of Education.

The more Trump reveals of his political agenda the stronger his popularity grows.
The DC establishment will fight Trump on the changes he wants to make. Never stopped Obama, though.
dear madame (sir!),
I watched that speech after dowloading from youtube.
There were several q and a’s before that bush plant, and they were all good ones from young folks.
Cut with 3:1 rules for hiring - limit EPA, Education, HHS, and other worthless agencies to one new hire for every three employees who leave. That will sunset the agencies and departments more slowly, but there are no identifiable "victims" of the cuts.
Then we might as well go back to business as usual and support Bush, or Clinton. After the election we can crawl back into our homes to watch the decline and perpetual government control literally consume what's left of America.
Whether they're for real or trolls, we shouldn't let "gate keepers" do our thinking for us.
Trump has a few things I hate about him... so did Reagan. Reagan was awful on guns and immigration . Trump is absolutely great on those issues (the best 2A plan I've seen) but he's awful on eminent domain.
Trump also has a great tax plan and now is talking about slashing the agencies mentioned in this article. IMO his policies are far more conservative than GWB's "compassionate conservative" policies ever were.
If Trump accomplishes a fraction of what he's promising America will be much better for it and I'll be very happy to have supported him.
This ought to be interesting, watching the usual gang of FReepers plug for the EPA and DOE...
But first....all the four letter agencies...
BATF.....
Down with alphabet agencies.
>>Its a good start.<<
Other than a limited FDA and maybe a similarly-limited FAA most of the rest of the federal alphabet soup can and should be eliminated.
Does anyone remember this classic Dilbert, where Dogbert was a Personnel Consultant?
Dogbert: This is a list of everyone who should be fired
Bald-headed CEO: This is the company directory!
Dogbert: Yes, that saved a LOT of time!
That is what the Federal Government needs.
Will work like hell, but a half century of relentless data sais the status quo will continue. That does not mean that I do not have a positive attitude, and will continue to contribute and work towards positive change. I simpy have no more naievity left in my soul to believe it will actually make a difference until I actually witness positive results
After what happened with the EPA in Colorado, I would shut them down also....or we won't have ANY water to drink...
I do hope the Indian Reservation sues the EPA over that....
Guaranteed secure jobs, gold plated retirement pensions, top shelf medical benefits and without have to produce anything or any positive results!
I'd like to be in that fantasy land too! ☺
Trump sounds better all the time. Unless this guy is lying like crazy, and pulling a complete snow job on millions of people, he is heading in the right direction to go all the way. He may just be the guy on Jan. 20, 2017 to fumigate the White Hut, ask Britain to return the bust of Winston Churchill, call troops to the border to close it, and then really start ramping up.
That’s it! That’s the one I was trying to think of that I was gonna cut!
Rick Perry
Kind of like the “debt ceiling”? That sure makes ‘em pause and seriously consider the impacts of ever-growing debt.
Dittoes!
I believe he said that the details on his cuts should be coming out in the near future. I look forward to reading it.
