Trump blames Bush for 9/11... and he's right in some ways

Bush has been warned that Bin Laden was planning to attack the US
On Aug. 6, 2001, President George W. Bush received a classified review of the threats posed by Osama bin Laden and his terrorist network, Al Qaeda. That mornings presidential daily brief the top-secret document prepared by Americas intelligence agencies featured the now-infamous heading: Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S. A few weeks later, on 9/11, Al Qaeda accomplished that goal. In the aftermath of 9/11, Bush officials attempted to deflect criticismthat they had ignored C.I.A. warnings by saying they had not been told when and where the attack would occur. That is true, as far as it goes, but it misses the point. Throughout that summer, there were events that might have exposed the plans, had the government been on high alert. Indeed, even as the Aug. 6 brief was being prepared, Mohamed al-Kahtani, a Saudi believed to have been assigned a role in the 9/11 attacks, was stopped at an airport in Orlando, Fla., by a suspicious customs agent and sent back overseas on Aug. 4. Two weeks later, another co-conspirator, Zacarias Moussaoui, was arrested on immigration charges in Minnesota after arousing suspicions at a flight school. But the dots were not connected, and Washington did not react.
If Bush had really been so concerned about our security, he would have ordered the State Department and related agencies to check up on the activities of recent Muslim visitors from suspect Middle Eastern nations. According to the article quoted above, the warnings actually had started coming as early as May 1st, so Bush had time to react.

28 pages of the politicized 9 11 report remain redacted.
Let’s see what is on those 28 pages.
Let’s see what the politicized process left on the cutting room floor

Why Bush allowed Kunduz airlift?
And Why damn Iraq war?

Bush should have dropped everything and pursued Osama personally. You’ve seen the videos where he and Rice defend the WH against terrorists. He’s capable and could have done it.
Plus, Trump attacked Clinton for lowering America’s defensive standards and ruining the intelligence just to protect his tattered legacy.
No, wait a minute. Trump hasn’t said that at all. He’s actually friends with Bill. It’s almost as if he’s working to destroy the party from within and elect a Clinton.
Didn’t this happen to a fellow named Perot?

He didn’t blame Bush, all he said is that it happened on his watch. Two different things.
He was taking Jeb’s comment that “Bush Kept Us Safe” head on.

The analogy I came up with was that of a relief pitcher who comes into a game with his team leading by one run with the bases loaded. He let’s in the inherited runners, while not allowing any of the batters he faced to score.
Now he was responsible for keeping the lead, but he doesn’t get charged for the runners he inherited. The other pitcher takes the loss because those were his runners that scored. But still the relief pitcher failed at keeping the lead, although the blame isn’t entirely on him.
That’s how I see Bush with 9/11, not all his fault, but still he didn’t get the job done.

Defending W’s legacy is a poison pill. Jeb will do himself in by taking the bait.

Trump is in first place in the polls, and has been for months. He champions Conservatism at each of his campaign stops. He talks down Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders... Sadly, we have some pathetic malcontents on our side of the isle (at least we assume our side of the isle) who can't grasp that Trump is the best thing that could have happend to Conservatism in 30 years. So here one of them regurgitates onto the forum in typical fasion. Let's review...
I guess Trumps next thing will be to claim 9-11 was an inside job and Bush knew about it.
Not able to actually come up with anything of substance, this dim bulb makes something up and then blames Trump for it as if it has already taken place.
And some of Trumps mindless bots would bend themselves into knots to agree with him.
Of course he hasn't done it, and his supporters haven't done it, but none the less they are described as "mindless bots" just the same.
Who would do that sort of thing? Oh that's right, a GOPe mindless bot.
Youre right that Trump is a Democrat, but his disguise is lousy, and it slips at least once a week.
Spewing falsehoods at every stop so far, why stop now...
1. Trump is a Democrat He's not a Democrat. He is a registered Republican and is supporting Conservative policy at every campaign stop and in every interview.
2. His disguise is lousy Since he's not a Democrat, he has no disguise and is doing a great job presenting Conservatism to the public
3. It slips at least once a week Since he's not in diguise, this logic is vaporware
Mindless bot? For the GOPe? Here on a conservative forum...
The thing is, some of his supporters are also Democrats, so they dont care.
Trump's supporters on this forum are not Democrats. Ronald Reagan attracted Democrats to his views. I don't recall us being upset about that.
This is simply one more dispersion cast at those who wish to see Conservatism prevail in 2016.
This lofted by a person who can't quite grasp that we haven't been able to nominate a person who is hawking what Trump is for the last 30 years.
Yes, lets dump Trump and nominate another McCain or Romney, because Conservatives sure aren't getting our nominations.
So yes, let's defeat Conservatism's last chance, by all means possible, even if it's just bald faced lies. GOPe alert!
They have come out in support of Obamacare right on this forum,...
They? Trump supporters suport Obamacare? LMAO, simply pathetic!
Once again, another lie seeking to besmirch the reputations of anyone who would support a man hawking Conservatism to the Citizens of the United States.
This pathetic loser hasn't grasped that Sanctuary cities are now being reviewed for punitive measures.
They can't grasp that Boehner has agreed to step down.
They can't grasp that the nations media is realing on it's heels for the first time in decades.
They can't grasp that for the first time in 30 years, people are crossing demographic lines to support a man hawking Conservtism.
Failing to grasp what is going on at any level, this person seeks to destroy a Conservative candidate and his supporters. GOPe alert!
...and one of them dismissed abortion as no big deal.
If they dismissed abortion as no big deal, they disagree with Trump on the matter and are not one of his supporters.
Other than these small disagreements with your lies, I really think you accomplished what you set out to...
...destroying someone's credibility about as soundly as anyone could. Too bad it was yours.
CatherineofAragon, do you honestly think you revealed good character by posting this drivel?
Pathetic.

Problems and situations do carry over from one administration to the next. Obama has been in office for seven years now, so at some point it is on him.

Great now hes got conservative AT on the bash Bush express. Trump needs to leave W alone and stick to bashing the real enemy sitting in the WH and running in the other party. Jeb is toast let him self-combust on his own. Jeb brought it on himself by bringing up his brother's record.
To: kempster
For those who have forgotten Mueller the director of the FBI was not ratified by Congress until Sept 4 2001 and the Clinton Administration did not permit Bush to top national security information until late Dec because of the Gore protest of the election.

Why don’t you tell me what you don’t like that he is presenting to the American public.
Whether you like it or not, he is out there educating another generation about what Conservative ideals are.
He is doing it with a megaphone, and another generation is buying into those ideals.
He is drawing across Democrats, Blacks, Hispanics, and more women to our core beliefs.
Why does this panic you so much?
