Thursday could mark the beginning of the end for Bobby Jindals increasingly slim presidential hopes.
The Louisiana governors campaign reported having just $260,000 to spend at the end of September after raising a little over half a million dollars and spending significantly more than that in the third quarter. Its a paltry sum compared to his rivals, and if Jindal cant jumpstart his White House bid soon, he could be headed the way of Rick Perry and Scott Walker, who ended their campaigns when their coffers ran dry.
Jindals haulor lack thereofwas the most ominous signal that came from the quarterly FEC filing deadline on Thursday, which showed that the top two Democrats, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, each raised more money between June and September than any of the 15 Republicans still in the race. (Donald Trump, of course, has access to more money than any of them through his own personal wealth.) Clinton raised $28 million and Sanders raised $26 million. Ben Carsons rise to a close second in the polls was reflected in his fund-raising, as he led the GOP field by taking in $20 million in the third quarter.

Heard on Hannity today that Jindal was either being considered, or his name, at least floated, for Speaker of the House.
I wouldn't mind the choice, mind you, but I'm not holding my breath.
Ditto
The GOPe will keep as many “splitters” in the race as long as they can. I think Walker bowed out to avoid any more self inflicted wounds to his future prospects, and Perry was just burned out and frustrated.
The party wants the small fry to stay in hopes of keeping Trump, Cruz or Carson from getting a lock on things and keeping Jeb or GOPe pinch hitter Rubio alive.
Seems to be a script for the “splitter” candidates:
1. Get bankrolled by GOPe big money donors
2. Don’t attack Jeb, make conservative noises
3. Attack Trump
4. Watch poll numbers tank
5. Withdraw from race while attacking Trump or stay in race while GOPe switches home state from “winner take all” to a proportional scheme stacked with GOPe delegates
Really? What about his governorship?
Let’s weed em out.
So what are they down to, 20 candidates?
Correct. The guy claims to be an “Independent” yet votes with the rabid liberal RATS.
I thought that the Dad had endorsed Trump.
So Jindal’s absurd and lenghtly rant trashing Trump didn’t bring in a motherlode of new contributions? Always thought he was very intelligent and capable, but he sure used extremely poor judgment on that one.
I’ll bet he’s got a Camaro and a Charger with a Hemi.
“Trump hates rednecks and the Confederate flag. Hes made that abundantly clear.”
Trump doesn’t hate rednecks or Confederate flags, he just hates you Nick.
Why would he hate me? Because I’m conservative and against amnesty?
None the less, it's over. Time to pack up and go home.
There is more than one way to look at the departure of that PARTICULAR flag. It had gone up as a symbol of DEMOCRAT defiance, to protest losing Jim Crow. For REPUBLICANS to keep it up there, with the history it had, sounds like Stockholm syndrome, frankly. Stinks that it went down on the excuse of a madman shooting up a church, and that without the GOP rubbing it into Democrat faces who was responsible for the flag having been there in the FIRST place. But there’s two sides to this story.
Trump hasn’t said anything about Dixie flags on pickemup trucks, etc.
Have you given Donald Trump any reason not to hate you? (After all, he may lurk here.)
Roger Goodell’s hero!
“Cruz might shift left”
I doubt that. But I’ve been surprised before.
