The FDNY's first chief diversity and inclusion officer is leaving the post after less than a year on the job, the FDNY said Thursday.
Pamela Lassiter was sworn in Jan. 30.
Sources said that Lassiter's departure came as a surprise. "Here we have someone who is academically qualified. She's a black, female . . . Then, suddenly - bam, she's gone," one fire official said.
The position was created after a judge ruled that the FDNY's entrance exam was biased against minorities.
Commissioner Daniel Nigro, in a statement on Lassiter's exit, stressed the FDNY's progress in improving that record.

Diversity is another term for White Genocide.
Diversity means everyone has the exact same beliefs. That everyone is “co-equal.”
Commissioner Nigro...that’s good.
Because putting out fires is different when you’re a minority.
In my experience “diversity” means a MUCH lower bar/standard. Thanks to diversity at my job, I’ve never worked fewer hours than the past few years; when the tokens don’t even work the bare minimum, my 9-5 has to be acceptable (or they can see me in court).
Just document EVERYTHING...
I’m not so sure anymore; when the going gets tough and companies have to cut back, useless tokens are the first to go. In my experience, few blacks survive layoffs, while companies survive legal issues by keeping Hispanics instead (the perception being they actually work better).
