For more than a few months many campaign experts and pundits have been trying to figure out how and why semi-prominent surgeon and political nut-boy Ben Carson has been doing so well in the Republican race for president. He has maintained healthy numbers in the polls and seems locked into a strong second place position in a field of candidates where experience and common sense are viewed as huge liabilities.
But it wasn’t until last week that Carson managed to prove he has lost more than a few shingles off his roof. Ben has his own space program going and he’s out there on the fringe talking nonsense in a soft, nonthreatening manner that is quite similar to the voice level heard among so many sitting sadly by themselves today in Day Rooms of mental institutions, off in a corner, wearing paper slippers, slowly eating apple sauce, unaware that nobody is listening.
Somewhat incredibly though, a small percentage of people are listening to Gentle Ben. And he is indeed running for president of the United States. And each day he takes the field and gives new meaning to crazy.

Barnicle’s a few gaffes away from a real job.
I may disagree with the Doc on a few issues, but what this election cycle has taught me is that people who I never gave a second thought about are showing unbridled fear of people like Doc Carson or The Donald, and the inroads they are making in the political environment. Barnicle has gone from being a garden variety lib to a foaming at the mouth nut ball. Any suggestion about Doc’s sanity is projection on his part. I am for Trump, but The Doc is a good guy, and his Oregon idea, where everyone rush the murderer, was common sense
The extremists are feeling more comfortable expressing their anti-American attitudes in public. Calling a black man “boy” used to be enough to get one banished from polite company. Let’s see how this shakes out.

Oh, and the absolute weirdo Bernie Sanders hasn’t got any flies on him, eh? Ben Carson is sustained by lots of GOPe financial support as they hope to use Ben to knock Trump out of ‘front runner’ status.
Then they will be talking like Barnicle so they can knock Carson down and use others to split and divide conservative votes so a pathway can be cleared for Jeb Bush.
So far, the Establishment’s efforts are for nought as Trump is leading the pack.
